Observation....as well as being a one woman army Minamino must be one of the most hard working players in the League

I wonder if Nojima has plan B for 2nd half. They are quite lucky so far.

 

Cerezo should probably be in front by a goal or two at this point. Nojima need Matsubara in midfield. It may happen in the second half if Kitano brings on Sakuramoto. Without Matsubara in midfield Nojima lack creative spark in the centre of the pitch.

But it has been quite enjoyable nonetheless. I expect Cerezo to score in the second half.

But Nojima's coach Kitano needs to take off Matsuda. Move Minamino to striker and bring on Mebae Tanaka and put her on the wing. Then takeoff Kitakata or Ishida for a defender and move Matsubara to central midfield.

Nicely done by Cerezo. Maekawa pass on the line was crucial but also a nice finish from Kitamura.

I am not sure in what world that could be called "handball"! Following the new rules that is not handball. Her arm was in line with her body.

I'm off for some 'Green torture'

 

Not Maekawa, it's Nojima Sakura.

 

Nojima are not the quickest of teams and Cerezo's speed was far too much for Nojima. Nojima were comprehensively beaten by a better team.

Things could have been a bit different if Nojima had slowed the play down a bit more and had Matsubara in midfield. If Matsubara is in midfield then Nojima have a focal point who is trusted to hold onto the ball. Nojima would probably still have been beaten, but it would have been a bit more difficult for Cerezo to get the ball.

I love Ishida, but her and Kitakata in central midfield is not a good idea.

Fukuzumi who made the mistake for the second goal and had the penalty awarded against her is only 18, so hopefully she comes back stronger. I hope this game will be good for her, because she seems like a very promising player, but she has a lot of work to do.

Cerezo played well, but Nojima made it very easy for them.

It just was one of the fastest opening 30min played this season in the league. Very entertaining, kudos for both teams.
