Wow, this makes even more depressing that girls like these lost U-17 WWC final. :x3:

Only the players who are on the pitch at the end of the game are eligible to take a pk. If one team has more than the other then they must exclude players until both teams have the same number of players.
If all the eligible players have taken a pk and there is still no winner, then they take a second kick but the order can be different.
In this case Kurata was injured and could not continue, so Shutoku had to exclude a player from the shootout (both teams used 10 players).

Interesting. I wonder if the rule about injured players can be anyway abused. I suppose that, to avoid that, at the end of the game a member of the medical staff has to inform the referee that one of the players is injured, so the ref can inform the other team that they have to exclude a player from their penalty takers.

Great match. The the pace and intensity were incredible, for high school game.

Someone recorded the last few minutes of the match from their television (terrible quality, but gives you the idea):

    the winning goal:

Why no source gives the name of the baby? I wasn't expecting pics right away, but I'd like to know the name of Nadeshiko Japan's captain at WWC 2043. :p

Either Hiratsuka or Fukuda Yui (both Inac) were unable to show their potentials, while Jumonji's players played their best.
And Miyazawa (Seisa Shonan), Kurata, Hirakawa (Shutoku) and Okino (Tokiwagi) can be next year stars.

    The final:
    http://www.tbs.co.jp/joshisoccer/

TBS TV featured Matsumoto Mamika before the competition, and their choice seems to have been right.
Although anyone would agree that MVP in this competition is Murakami Maho (#10), Matsumoto (#11) might surpass her in the future because of her pace.
Matsumoto is alike their sempai Yokoyama in a sense because both can run past DFs, but her shooting technique is, of course, nowhere near Kumi's one.

I can compare Murakami with Sugita Hina. Sugita is far superior in basic technique, but Murakami may surpass her in energy and judgement.
I hear both Matsumoto and Murakami go to Waseda this year.

Both central MFs, Genma (#9) and Suzuki (#7), were the other key players for Jumonji.
I hear Suzuki is from Menina. Yeah, very likely because her trapping, ball keeping and passing high technique is alike Beleza young players' ones.

Based on my limited understanding of Japanese language, I think Chiaki Minamiyama and Cho So Hyun are leaving INAC, and Michi Goto is leaving Urawa Red Ladies.
