means ******** all. You also lost at home to Albania without Ronaldo. Is Albania better than both Italy and Portugal? One game doesn't hide the fact Italy have owned you, since, well, forever.

You better hope you don't play France. Or Germany. Or Spain. Or USA. Oh wait.

It's going to suck when Ronaldo retires without any major international trophies. Waste of a great talent who got unlucky to be born Portuguese

That was with the previous coach

Fernando santos went 100 percent in qualifying and had some good friendly results beating Argentina italy belgium also some bad ones too

Portugal team should be stronger now with some new talents who emerged and been integrated Into the squad.

Not a single person in the portugal board is worried about italy

We don't even think about you guys , but all you do is think about us. Must be an obsession.

Must suck these days to be in your shoes.

This is the Italy boards. You're obviously thinking of us ;)

Plus I don't think we are allowed to come post in the Portugal forums. I hear the requirement is you have had to have married your sister or first cousin

Ps don't flatter yourself. Italians are never threatened by the Portuguese.

I think to him it must be okay since he's pretty much won everything at club level there is to be won, probably more than all Italian internationals combined

what's up with the lack of confidence? judging by the results of the poll, the majority of you believe you'll go out early? as much most of you overrate your chances, you still have a lot of quality imo

And what exactly has Portugal done in the last 10 years? Well, damn...how about ever? So you got Ronaldo, great. What have you guys won?Genuinely curious.

We'll take our 2006 World Cup and 3 other titles and show them off with pride while you come on to our board and try to stir up pointless banter.

    Forza Azzurri.

There's no quality on your team. Besides Ronaldo your team is a bunch of bums.
    What new talents?

Bah bah bah bah always the same tired response "what have portugal done, 4 stars bro", talk about who's trying to stir up pointless banter

There was a legitimate question in my post about your boards apparent lack of confidence in this side. but of course you raged too hard to read past the first sentence

And you think Portugal is going to win the whole thing. That's not confidence that's stupidity. And I'm one of the one's who voted Italy winning the Euro. They can do it. Portugal not a chance

There's always a lack of confidence amongst Azzurri fans. It's an old school mentality to expect the worst so if it doesn't happen you can be happy. You should have heard some of the fans I knew before 2006.

    "We're not good enough!"
    "Totti's hurt, we're done!"
"Del Piero never performs well for the national team!"
"Materazzi is a backup CB, if the other two get injured, we're screwed!'
    "Who is Grosso!"

Yeah sure, that team was better than this one but you get the point.

It wasn't a legitimate question. You looked at an irrelevant pool that anyone could vote on and made a generalization.

I'm confident in this side. We have some solid pieces but things have to fall properly in place. My love for the team will always take priority and bias over anything. With that said, I think we're a level above Portugal in quality.

But again, I'll take our four stars over 0. Whether you think thats cliché or not is irrelevant to me. Its a fact. ..bro;)

Bertolacci will be even lucky to make the final 23 and this is coming from a fan of his and a Milanista

Eder is so so. Thiago Motta better not make the team but might now after Conte's latest call ups and especially since Marchisio is not going to make France

I must say that now that I think about Marchisio's injury, he seriously was never really as good for Italy as he was for Juventus. Maybe not a huge loss after all, but still a big blow definitely.

Hopefully De Rossi and Pirlo will be in form at that time and are hungry enough.

thats great.. i'm not slighting Ronaldo in the least.. i think he's a fantastic player...

but dont tell me you believe he wont be disappointed to have never played in an international final with his country.

also, you bring up "4 stars bro" and how italians are proud of it... yet you want to praise ronaldo for winning more at club level than all italian internationals combined? LOL

he did play in a final, in 2004, at home, he was very young too. but don't remind him (or me) :(

i think italy has a decent chance at doing well at this tournament, as does portugal. both squads have a decent mix of youth and experience which can make for some interesting results.
