Situation reminds me of Algarve final vs Gerany... They were also 0-2 early, but they maintened composure and were back in the game: come on Nadeshiko Japan!!!!

And what a great goal by Yuki indeed!

I'm really worried about Sawa's condition.
    Kaihori is superb.
    This is where she shines.

I lost half the first half, but, judging from what I saw, it seems to me that there is a lot of sloppiness in passes today, by everyone, Sawa included... (usual Ohno, Kinga, etc.)

I hope they're gonna fight to tie the score in second half, but if mistakes are so frequent, counterattack from USA for 3-1 seems more likely...

Hope they'll show USA goals now, so i'll see what happened by myself.

agree with you in 2 things specially about Sawa, she is not very good, I know is the captain and best player of history, but maybe she musn't play, without her japan made great games and by the way, I saw bad or one of the US goals was an OG from Sawa?

Interesting: at about 12' Kumagai basically is in for Sawa, so in a MF role like she plays in Frankfurt.

    Also Ando for Ohno.

Edit: in fact Kumagai plays as CB as always: logically is Utsugi moved at MF.

Morgan Goal, 1-3, now mumf come on here to say is ayumi's fault, with this defense is impossible to win vs. good teams like US, we need Iwashimizu recovered soon

I think, it's her only chance (Maruyama's) to convince Sasaki for a spot at Olympic today.

yano out and enter asuna tanaka, I don't see Yano as a good replacement for NT but is the only one can do that, I don't like Utsugi as a DF, her place in the field for me is MF like she is playing now

4-1 Japan gave up defending. Wambach header from like 2 inches out.

wamback goal after another mistake of the nadeshiko backline, 1-4, I'm very worried about that problem, specially if Azusa don't recover soon, well, game finish, 1-4

First game lost in a year, so not bad as for the world champions. Better now than next month I guess :)

Ah! Disappointing! :( To my eyes they seemed really tired from the get go. They weren't "stuck in" as they say.
