    Cup begins today

Consadole going with a really young line-up

Kushibiki, Mae, Mikami, Arano all starting today with Sakaki and Nara on the bench.

Looking forward to it. Omiya always give us a good game, and this year they're stronger than ever.

F.Marinos will start Taniguchi after Ogura dislocated his shoulder in the game against Sendai last Saturday.

That's one of the youngest midfields I've seen in the J League. Best of luck to them, who knows in ten years half the JNT might be Consadole players.

Also noticed that Uehara has converted from striker to centre back.

Yamamura partners Iwamasa in the back for Kashima today.

Should be interesting to see. Yamamura has lost his starting spot for the U-23's so it will be interesting to see how comfortable with the CB and maybe make a case to replace either Suzuki or Hamada.

    Is Mikami really 19?

He has a full beard and looks like a freaking hobo. :D

Hahaha! Thats exactly what I thought when I saw him in a pre-season training photo. He looked like a normal teenager last season, now looks like an oyaji you'd see on the streets.

Tosu have a good designated player in the center of their defense, Tatsuya Sakai, he's worth attention and he's even 184cm (that's for our height fetichists)

Damn it may be just me but watching Manabu Saito sometimes I suspect he's the one who's the most close to Kagawa's J league times level already. Def. my most interesting player to look at this year

Looks like we'll see a Nara-Kushibiki CB combi today.

    Should be fun

Ishige starts while another member of the U-17 WC team, Kida, is on the bench for Marinos.

edit: It looks like Sakai's brother has changed his position as he's listed as a DF today. Maybe he'll be ready to take over for his brother in the future.

Interesting selections for us, I'm glad that so many younger players are getting a run (or a potential run). Now just to the matter of how we play...

Ishige was impressive and created several opportunities.

Can't wait to see more of him.

First win of the season for Consadole!!! :D

Also Urawa loses 4-3 but that's still three goals in the same game. That's good news anyways.

Damn, looked like a pretty wild second half against Juilo. Happy to see Kojima being given more chances this season.

Wonder how Musashi Suzuki played, he's got so much potential but was pretty awkward/clumsy for the U-17s.

Jorginho showing trust in 19 years old MF Takahide Umebachi. He was really good today and could stick around longer given the apparent injury of Shibasaki ... Went off on a stretcher, that doesn't look good.

    No wonder Sapporo won.

WTF happened with Aoyama on the first goal?
