Same here. Working where there is no Comcast. I smell a 3-0 win with Mwanga bagging a brace. This is where the turnaround starts.
Neither MacMath nor Harrison will play today. Also, it's interesting to see what the MLSsoccer.com editors think of us. Five of six predict TFC to win. One sees it as a draw. See http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012/05/25/pick-em-mlssoccercom-editors-pick-weekend-matches. I don't endorse the site and I have no idea about the legality of it, but most matches worldwide, including today's game, are streamed for free at http://www.firstrowsports.eu/. I have the MLS package so I don't usually use it but it's a resource that's available.
No Gomez either apparently. If he's a scratch for the TFC game then I would hope they let him go to Panama early. Obviously I'd prefer if he could play, but if he's not then he might as well get started on preparations w/ his national team.
Appreciate that, but I can't really sit at a computer and watch a game. I'm a bartender so I'm resigned to only watching nationally televised games and games on my half-season ticket plan.
Dear Lord baby Jesus, lyin' there in your ghost manger, just lookin' at your Baby Einstein developmental videos, learnin' 'bout shapes and colors,I would like to thank you for bringin' me and the Union together, and also that our support section no longer sound like retarded gang-bangers. I had a wonderful flight to Toronto this morning, checked in at the hotel smoothly, and now about to walk to BMO Field to watch our Union take on those bastards from up north. Please for all that is holy allow Peter to actually have some sense today and play a 4-4-2 with Carrol as our DM, Adu as our CAM, and Daniel and Marfan on the wings. Lets see DannyBoy and Pajoy up top while Williams, Valdez, Garfan, and Gaddis playing a strong defense with no weak set piece goals! Teach Peter that playing for a win is best for this team and not just sit back playing for a tie. Cause you know in the end, we'll just lose in the 88th min playing that way. I hope that is not too much to ask!
The Union are 3/1 Underdogs against TFC and I don't know why. I guess I'll bite the bullet and put some change on the Union. It just seems like a trap
Starters: Konopka; G. Farfan, Valdes, Williams, Gaddis; Carroll, M. Farfan, Adu, Herdling; Mwanga, Pajoy http://twitter.com/PhilaUnion/status/206469506619547649 Bench: Rowe (GK pool), Martinez, Okugo, Hernandez, Lahoud, Jordan, Hoppenot 4-1-3-2 maybe?
I had to switch to the TFC on Match Day Live to watch this. Rigby announcing is just too painful for me.
My pre-game was on MLS Live. It was a half hour of Sounders goals and saves from last season. That was pretty depressing to watch, too. On a positive note: 1) Freddy is filling in that usually-empty central attacking mid position. 2) We may be missing our starter, but I like the all-yellow 'keeper kit.
TFC stink. They are even worse at finishing their chances than we are. The question is, will we even create any chances?
The TFC announcers just did a nice job summarizing the history of our club, the meaning of the kit and symbols on the crest, Sons of Ben, etc.
Gaddis is struggling a bit against Plata so far. He's not doing well to hold/win the ball going forward from his outside back position. Pajoy is booked for playing hard. Everyone in the stadium as well as the TFC announcers know that was a penalty on TFC for handling the ball inside the area. Oh well.
Nice touch by Herdling to free up Gaddis but he shows all the urgency of Mwanga and the defender gets back.
Gaddis has been subbed off, Lahoud came on...but I cannot tell who is playing right back! After two plays in the past minute, looks like no one has slid over to the right back position after the substitution.
