It honestly looks like their training jersey, with a butt-ugly red line in the middle.

The previous one had very good colors and the feathers' detail was a nice touch.

The red square was never explained and I still think itw as a misfit, but overall it was decent.

This one is an insult. I have read perhaps 200 comments so far, and NOT A SINGLE POSITIVE one.

I think we should start a petition to have Adidas to recall it...

What makes me wonder is why the JFA even approved this disgraceful design...Or did they have a say.

Wasn't it JFA's idea to have the line going straight down to symbolize "kizuna"?

You can keep last year's colors and have a REAL vertical red band, like Ajax... The tiny red stripe really looks like a cut in the middle of the chest.

Can anybody start the recall petition at www.ipetitions.com?

If the text is in Japanese as well, I guess it will have a huge success... :)

I have no idea, but that red/pink/ yellow line position is in the middle and points to one direction waist down.

Seeing that having the line on the shirt was what they wanted, they could of at least put it straight in the middle near the flag and the JFA crest... instead of the middle of nowhere and clutter the shirt.

I think the Nadeshiko's weren't too fond of the design.

    It's an abomination!

The Nadeshiko sounded clearly as they had memorized their speeches.

    What the f**k is this?!?!?!?
    I.....WHAT???!?!??!?
I wish they went back to the nice blue. Tbh, I can see myself coming to like the dark main colour navy/black part in time. But that red stripe....geez.

Curious to see what it looks like with a number in the centre (anybody decent at photoshop?)

Oh holy crap, Japan U23's are going to have to wear this in the Olympics ffs, and Japan will wear this in the 4th round qualifiers, and the Confed Cup.
    ================
    What are the away colours??

it doesn't look terrible in the "Japan is all in" ad. But the press shots of them in person look horrendous.

The only true way of getting Adidas to change it is to boycott the kit all together and get people not to buy it.

But that will never happen. It will probably be sold out in a week. :(

At the moment the "dislike" have a solid 75%.

If there is a god, a few heads must roll today at Adidas.

BTW, here is the article in English, with no poll for now.

Ugly, I don't even want to read explanations why there's that red stripe from JFA or Adidas. Last one was my favorite between the previous ones, now that's ugly training shirt made of empty PET bottles... Petition! unity line............
