Re: Official 2011 J1 League Thread [R] If last year is anything to go by, I guess we should have the opening two weeks fixtures out soon. I can't wait to start planning the away days!
Re: Official 2011 J1 League Thread [R] Games are decided, clubs are informed, info leaking out as usual... Huge surprise coming from Kansai... hang on in there, we'll know soon...
Re: Official 2011 J1 League Thread [R] they will announce the opening rounds day after tmr i have read
Re: Official 2011 J1 League Thread [R] 2010 thread is closed, so I put this here: According to this website (scroll to the bottom, or might have slipped to the following page, since it is a blog-type website).... http://anotherwin.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html ...Sanfrecce-Reds was fixed to finish 2-1. I haven't seen the whole game, but surely remember: 1 - A huge penalty denied to Reds (=pro-conspiracy) 2 - That Sanfrecce won at the very last moment, with a supergoal by Hisato (=against conspiracy) Thoughts...? If somebody want to go on looking for other J.League matches allegedly fixed, I stopped at this...
Re: Official 2011 J1 League Thread [R] hm, well there was that whole thing where Matsu got a tip that the Kashima-Sanfrecce Xerox Cup in 2008 would end 2-2 and Hiroshima winning on penalties and I remember people thinking that game was 'influenced'. That was kinda creepy. edit: Here it is: https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=664720
Re: Official 2011 J1 League Thread [R] I don't want to believe but... You know... I've seen too many set up games in my life so I can't tell anymore.
Re: Official 2011 J1 League Thread [R] True, but any idea of what it would take to fix the EXACT SCORE in a top game...? You need to buy the ref and quite a few (top) players...
Re: Official 2011 J1 League Thread [R] Only thing I want from reading this website is punching someone in the face, badly. Is is possible to inform any web-police about this ?
Re: Official 2011 J1 League Thread [R] First of all it would take a man who's in charge of assigning referees for the games so that the whole thing could be planned earlier (which ref and then it comes with contacts because you don't want to make it on Friday when you play in Saturday). One side must come up with the idea and then You've got two options. One - the money are from 'outside source' (like mafia-boys who are betting a lot too I think). The second one - the players raise the amount of the cash which is set up with the ref by themselves (also for gambling) and I doubt it a game between two mid table teams who deosn't need points. It could only take the ref and it could take the opposite team as well. Those things are usually done by the oldest, most experienced players, so the younger ones wouldn't necessarily know about what's going on. If they are going to bribe the opposite team players it would take like 2 or 3 of them who are certain to start, especially defenders. But to fix exact score I think that most players must know about that unfortunately (yes, they know how to cheat, and it will look totaly normal). So, if that would be true, it would take almost the whole system from the top to the bottom.
Re: Official 2011 J1 League Thread [R] It would be a HUGE shame if some of the Japanese players are involved in this stuff, particularly the leaders and so on. Clubs like Oita Trinita and Tokyo Verdy would be targets for this sort of thing cause of financial issues. Omiya maybe too if they've already been deceitful about attendances.
Re: Official 2011 J1 League Thread [R] To be fair, that's a bit of a leap from fiddling crowd figures to the fixing of matches. Especially when by all accounts the crowd thing was due more to incompetence than anything sinister.
Re: Official 2011 J1 League Thread [R] Who knows, it might be the police just trying to gather intelligence...
Re: Official 2011 J1 League Thread [R] My question is.....Why are we delving into this crap again? Season hasn't even started yet and already we are dwelling on stuff that has no concrete evidence behind it.......thread got to eight posts before it went totally into tinfoil hat land.
Re: Official 2011 J1 League Thread [R] I think people talk about it because they are somehow concerned, or because they have nothing better to do... Maybe the next time they can "sell" a J.League score we should chip in 10 Euro each and see if they really have something. In any case, to wrap it up, to fix a 2-1 on Sanfrecce-Reds seems the typical thing that is very believable to a non-J.League follower, but seen from the inside (=us), makes very little sense, since there would be gazillions of easier games to fix. Now, if somebody has some more interesting topics...
Re: Official 2011 J1 League Thread [R] How about the draw, or some Kansai-related surprise that someone mentioned previously?
Re: Official 2011 J1 League Thread [R] I am under oath, but if you think about it, it is not so hard to figure out...
Re: Official 2011 J1 League Thread [R] lol. Was (jokingly) thinking "ronaldinho to gamba". in any case, lots of outs, not so many ins so far for them. (coming from the last few years it seems there's a "ronaldinho to XXXX" rumour every year)
Re: Official 2011 J1 League Thread [R] i take it's about the opening game of the season? a cerezo osaka vs gamba osaka opener perhaps? btw, when will we know the full J1 schedule of the season? trying to plan some stuff here and need to find out asap...
Re: Official 2011 J1 League Thread [R] Bando to Fagiano is a done deal for 2014 (if Sanga doesn't take him...)
Re: Official 2011 J1 League Thread [R] Home openers (first two weeks) were announced today, the rest is out on 2/2 I believe.
Re: Official 2011 J1 League Thread [R] yea, full schedule on Feb 2nd here for first 2 matchdays + Montedio vs Reds on 3rd: http://www.j-league.or.jp/release/000/00003825.html
