I'm really looking forward to this. South Africa are talking about this as the new beginning for the team with a new coach, McCarthy coming back to the side, and the first game at one of the new world cup stadiums. They've done extensive video research by the sounds of things and they're motivated. This is about as serious as any team gets during a friendly. --------------------------------------- Japan Lineup: Kawashima Nakazawa Tulio Komano Uchida Endo Hasebe Inamoto Honda Okazaki Okubo
OH FCUK, NOOOO! THE RETARDED, ANALPHABET KOREAN TROLL IS BACK TOO!!! Well, redded already. Now we know who bumped up the numbers in the Poll on the forum...
Jeez, Okubo starter, Sato Hisato on the bench. Me and Okada have seen two different J.Leagues, I believe...
That assumes he watches. Also Komano and Uchida... at the same time. We're really going for all-out attack I guess. Until you see the midfield and looks like we're playing negative ? I'm confused.
no streams for the match dammit... I guess we'll have to watch the delayed match. That's how serious Japan's media takes it's national team..
http://www.justin.tv/nongomatv/old I think this is it, maybe ?? Yes, definitely it... I see Nakazawa with his lobster bib.
Yeah the quality is terrible, no sound at all, and even with such poor video it's not streaming -- more like a couple seconds at a time. I think I might just wait until the delayed tape shows.
30m in the 2nd half, and three chances only. One for AS, two for Japan. Good to see Matsui back--not sure of how he's playing thou.
Probably Okada did not. He subbed them in the second half... Koroki in, instead of Sato. Meh, whatever...
Well I only saw the second half, but judging from second half I thought Japan played well. Passes were connecting and their midfield & defense did a good job of pressing. S.Africa had trouble penetrating into their attacking third of the pitch. Despite amazing passing work from the middle, I thought maybe Japan could have been more creative with their possessions and chances. To me, in the end they seemed to rely too much on long through balls and crosses.
South Africa doesn't deserve a goal, it's difficult to find a single chance apart long range shoots. But we weren't at the level that crushed Togo so we don't deserve the win. A big lack of speed, I'd say. Inamoto should not be on the field (and even on the bench), Uchida lost his mojo, Okubo is kind of useless and Shunsuke has no right foot, unfortunately.
it was incredibly boring. I don't know what happened to Japan's passing, but it was not very good in this game. They couldn't handle passes that I normally see them controlling. Maybe we need Kengo Nakamura.. Honda wasn't impressive at all.
I thought Shunsuke wasn't playing? I only watched the first 20m or so on playback -- and when I saw FT was 0-0 just decided to skip it. re seolseol: I don't think anyone is going to be happy at this result, but how much do you blame the team and how much do you blame Okada for picking a "wtf?" lineup. Ina, Hasebe, Endo all in MF ? Uchida and Komano at the same time? Okubo ?? If I'm being honest it was like some kind of poorly balanced 253. The biggest criticism I have from the time I did watch was: Honda. We all know he's got great skill. But pass the freaking ball, he's not the only player on the team.
Pretty boring match. I'm still puzzled why it was delayed, althought possibly they didn't decide on a match time until too late. I just don't like having to avoid spoilers. Actually I remember watching a match on NHK BS between Gamba and some other team, and they actually spoiled the result during the BS News session at half time. One of the reasons why I refuse to pay for BS...
Shunsuke played the last thirty minutes. Ha was able to bring great passing and he had many opportunities to cross that he never took 'cause ha was on his weak foot. That was very frustrating.
