Maybe they're the guys targeted by MU. I wonder how they would do in Europe, if they wouldn't need partners who play the same style of football as them.
Didn't you mention MU last week? This article says someone who claimed to be in Rijkaard's coaching staff when he was at Barca contacted Japan's coaching staff. I am wondering if there are offers for the other high school boys, Mochizuki and Muroya.
Yeah I mentioned MU but I don't have a name. Still I'm pretty sure they have interest in one of those players.
Well, you never know when a big club turns up but I rather see those players in Japan for another couple of years before challenging Europe... wondering too how they would do when not playing their style. Plus it was definitely not ManU's brand of football our U17 was playing. Don't remember if I read it here but some player said that if Yoshitake works with video footage he would always show Barca or Spain to them...
I think he said in another thread that he was in a mental health clinic. It's too bad, because "redded" actually does know a lot about J-soccer, he could contribute if he would tone down the violent xenophobic outbursts.
On the other hand, looking at the past teams, they were full of stiffs. I can barely stand to remember how terrible some of the guys who represented Japan at U-17 in the last 10 years were. This U-17 team stood out by for the first time NOT having at least half the roster who would obviously never ever succeed in high level soccer.
The 2009 team was great. They were trying to play the same football as the 2011 team, with more individual talent but less dedication and intelligence.
If the 2009 team had a better defense they could have gone as far as the 2011 team did. The amount of attacking talent on the 2009 team was quite ridiculous.
lol at first I had a theory that the scouts were from the AV industry but on a second thought I'm sure it's football related. They aren't cute enough.
So......the next Yuji Nakazawa then. I'm not sure who was in charge of the 2009 team (I think it was Ikeuchi?). But the same way that Minamino hindered our attacks a lot this tournament, was the same way Usami did that in 2009. My favourite from the 2009 team still would be Gaku Shibasaki, also Kenyu Sugimoto. Once this year's team got it right, they were much more direct than the 2009 team.

http://www.jfa.or.jp/jfatv/ For those who want to follow the players from the U-17 WC and maybe watch some great Japanese youth football, you can watch full matches from the U-18 Premier League here. They even broadcast livestreams of the matches! The league has been on hiatus since May, but it starts up again soon and goes until December.
For those who wanted to know if Nikki Havenaar is any good. They just uploaded Nagoya Grampus U-18 vs Sanfrecce Hiroshima U-18.

It's interesting that most of them are over 170 cm, then comes a 10 cm-gap and then there are these 2 short ones, Tezuka and Kamata. I guess these must be the ones to watch out for, talent-wise.
