Don't get mad bro, that was just a statement. It's okay to waste chances against Vietnam but against better teams that could kill us. You watched the last U17 world cup right ? So you know what I'm talking about.

Minamino so far best player i spotted, not only because of his goals. Should play in J-League in a few years for sure.

    Yeah.
The center-backs are also very promising. Strong, very good at set-pieces.

They defended well. They knew they had no chance to win, although they made some nice counter-attacks, so they focused on defending. Almost worked.

Yes besides Minamino i liked defenders Ueda and Iwanami although i still wanna see them against better sides. Next match against the Aussies they should have more to do.

Excellent. Finishing is still difficult ... I think they should beat Iraq then face North Korea and here, that will be a different matter ...

Re: Official Junior Youth (U17) JNT Thread [R]

Yeah you guys dominated us really really badly. The first half especially, we were completely outclassed. We would either smash it long up the pitch or we would string 1 pass, then maybe a 2nd pass...but never a 3rd pass as we would of lost the ball by then

The second half was more even, but Japan still looked more likely to score aside from the last 5 minutes where we got a few shots on goal in succession.

From my view, your guys finishing was very below par. It was either off target or very very weak shots. If you guys could be more ruthless infront of goal, you would of easily beaten us and would probably win the entire tournament and do well at the World Cup.

Appalling lack of cutting edge in front of goal.
    Nothing new there then.
Appalling in pretty much every aspect, actually. Looked like Timorese would have deserved more from the match.

I'll watch the Aussie one now.

Considering the goal/shot percentage, if we can create 40-60 chances per game we might win this tournament...

Honestly, the finishing is U12 level.

    yeah goaltime...... Japan 1-0. Minamino.

I'm a fan of this backline, albeit the CB's cant his a long pass to save themselves. But they overcome this by bombing it forward or clearing it rather than trying to do something they can't do yet and stuffing it up.
