Too early to vote, but I hope Cerezo, Avispa and a new team will come up.

yeah, and don't believe what he wrote about Sanga. He has a bias against my team. He likes to call us "mediocre." I respect him as journalist, but I believe he is dead wrong when he thinks Sanga will be relegated.

Sendai doesn't seem anything special, as I thought...

Now, Sendai outshot Shona 13-9, and Shonan is one of the outsiders for promotion this season, so i wouldn't cut them of after only one game:rolleyes:

    But yeah, a bad start.

So, the title favorites both won their season openers.

Thespa Kusatsu - Sanfrecce Hiroshima 0-2
    Goals: Aoyama, Hirashige

The young Hirashige started instead of Kubo, and with a goal he didn't letdown his coach.

Mito Hollyhock - Cerezo Osaka 0-2
    Goals: Kagawa x 2

Cerezo played over a half with 10 against 11 as Germano got sent off just before the half. Everyone says Kakitani is Cerezo's wonderkid, but Kagawa showed last season he's just as big a talent, and with 2 goals here he seems to be heading for a great season.

Kofu and Yokohama leads 1-0 by half-time

Basse, I meant to come to chat, but I had to go out shopping with my wife - hihihi...:)
Congrats for winning the opening game.
Kofu is now 1-1; Yokohama leads 2-0.
I'll go to the chat room till the games are over. Come around if you are here.

anyway, the chat room seems like a good idea, and we should gather there for future matches as well.

so what did u buy ur wife then?

Btw, Mito outshot Cerezo 24-17! so it must have been a cracker of a game!

The chat room worked wonderful yesterday during the games. There were 5 of us from all over the place exchanging info and comments and I really had a good time. Definitely, it should be an every-week appointment

Well, Kirin beer was on sale, so we bought 4 boxes, among other stuff. I am all for Asahi, but -hey!- it was dirt cheap ;)

    Re: Official 2008 J2 Thread

I went for C. Osaka, Hiroshima and Fukuoka, and turns out the majority of others votes went with them too. Would like to see a new face in J1 next year (Come on FC Gifu!! ;) ), but may the best teams win! I also hope Hiroshima go up purely for the away day next year.

I feel for Hiroshima fans. I hope they return to J1, so they can be relegated a third time, and everybody will stop to point out to Kyoto as the most relegated team ever... ;)

still injured. He got a hip injury of some sort but shouldn't be away for too long. For Yokohama's sake I wish he stays injured though:rolleyes: Just look how well Anderson is doing now.

Legends are supposed to be either dead, buried or atleast retired, so for me we can do without ;)

but don't get me wrong, I like Kazu too, and thinks he's a cool dude. And he sometimes comes up with some nice stuffs too on the pitch, so he isn't all useless. but perhaps it's time for him to withdraw now...
