Tomorrow FCN - FC Schaffhausen (Superleague Switzerland) Live Webcast here: http://www.fc-radolfzell.de/Update/internetradio.html 18:30 MET!
Is "MET" is Central European Time? If so, for those here in the USA, we are looking at 12:30PM EST/11:30AM CST/9:30AM PST.
The URL has a German ending (... .de), so anything else would not make sense... Schaffhausen may have a weird accent, though (honestly, no idea, but if a Bavarian doesn't want me to understand what he says I'd have no chance of understanding him, sooo... ;-) )
Since Bundesliga.de stopped their English language NetRadio broadcasts, I don't think there are currently any Bundesliga transmissions in English. About the only ones who could hire the personnel needed to do so would be FC Bayern. It took us almost four years of begging and pleading just to get Dortmund to set up an English-language webpage. And now that they've had to cut back on personnel, it's crap. People on my list offered to help them free of charge, but I think they don't want anything to do with it. Might cost others their jobs.
Yea ditto for Hertha's English website, it's no where near it's German counterparts. But Hertha also have a Turkish and Chinese website, which is good for me, because I can brush up on my Chinese.
yup...winamp shoutcast stream, will be online maybe a half hour before the game starts.it's a pretty good service, all in all it is just a pre season match against a small suiss team, so we can be pretty happy with it.
BVB started their Chinese site before they did the English site. Honestly, it left me terribly insulted. No plans for a Turkish page publicly known, but I think it would be a smart move.
Yeah, I think in general the Bl clubs are moaning about how the British do the marketing so much better but when it comes to invest a bit on foreign language websites and stuff they all don't do it well... 96's official English website is done by a fan who does not get a € for his work...
Cantaluppi Named New 1. FCN Captain "Being selected as captain is a great honor and it makes me very proud". No time to translate. Sorry!
Well, week one Nurnberg fans! Please note my newly acquired avatar..i'm so proud. Here's a small preview from SoccerNet. Not too much to say really. Week one is anyone's game. Good luck boys. Bring us home some points!
Nurnberg earns their first point of the 05/06 season with a scrappy 1-1 result against Hannover 96 (after losing 3-0 to Hamburg in week one). Mintal bailed us out, though I caught the highlights on a German download and my German is a bit shaky so I didn't get the minute that he scored. It was late though. Schaffer played well after getting a split lip by his own defender in the first half. Nurnberg created chances, but had a few unlucky strikes. From what I saw, the draw was well earned.
The goal was in the 90th minute btw, well into injury time. And I guess the draw was deserved, but I hate to admit it *jk*
EINTRACHT SEARCHING FOR FIRST POINTS Two defeats in two matches is already looking ominous for bottom club Eintracht Frankfurt, who will be looking to get off the mark against a 1. FC Nuernberg side just a point better off. Frankfurt have looked like a fish out of water since returning to the top flight and will be eager to get some points on the board as soon as possible. Friedhelm Funkel admits he will be putting his friendship with Nurnberg counterpart Wolfgang Wolf to one side as he looks to get his promoted team's season going, albeit two weeks later than intended. Funkel said: "We really want to win this game and I expect us to do so." Wolf has five wins to Funkel's one in head-to-head meetings, a statistic that irks Funkel who said: "I will have to improve that record on Saturday." Oka Nikolov will be in goal for Frankfurt in the absence of regular custodian Markus Proll and will be handed the task of trying to keep out Marek Mintal, who was top Bundesliga scorer last season and who scored his side's last-minute equaliser against Hannover last weekend. Mintal, whose form has also given Slovakia a chance of qualifying for the World Cup next year, proved he has not lost his scoring touch with last week's strike and also a goal in the 4-0 DFB-Pokal win over Eschborn. Now he will be looking to score for Nurnberg against a team they have not played against for six seasons. Robert Vittek should start with Stefan Kiessling also available to Wolf should he decide on an attacking strategy against Frankfurt.
Will be leaving for our lovely ground in about 20 minutes...i am exicted...scared... We're gonna win!
Ofcourse he was. Bayern get on average 6-7 irregular goals a season 'cause refs don't dare make a call against them because if by any chance its a wrong decision, then Beckenbauer and Hoeness go on a whine fest and DFB ALWAYS listens to them. It's typical, i'm sorry for you guys.
phew...what a deserved draw, even if we hit the back of the net only @ 88. min...we had enough chances, better team in 2nd half...well. i am happy.but we need 3 points now against schalke!
