So by process of elimination, that leaves Maite Zabala and Robin McCullough for the developmental squad, I would think. Does anyone know why those weren't announced?
I believe teams can claim non-roster players from other teams at this time, but they must move the player up in category. In other words, other teams can claim Maite or Robin, but they must make them reserver or roster players. I could be wrong, but that's possibly at play here.
What do we do about covering for our two players that are injured? Do the reserve players play? Do we get back ups for them?
thats what reserves are for unless you have a founder out for the season in which case you get one extra reserve and one less delevopmental (at least thats how the power worked it)
Which begs the question...since you can dress 18 at home...if you have two active roster players out, and dress the reserves in their place, can you dress the developmental players at home, then, to get up to 18? I suspect that for the game or two that Lucks will miss, the Courage will dress Zabala, or whoever the third goalie ends up being.
OK, one more question...can you dress a developmental player ahead of a reserve? Obviously, you'd have to do it in the case of your third keeper, but what about outfield players?
I hope that "Lucks" will be back ready to play by the end of April, but if she isn't and Carla is still out and on top of that TR and Slaton get called up for the friendly against Nigeria, I guess the Courage staff better cross their fingers and hope that no roster players get injured or suspended.
