There is likely some consumer buying behavior data behind this approach. And I guarantee you it's to PSV's advantage. It's like extended warranties, they sound like a good idea and are often cheap. But few people remember they have them and/or never use them, even though they pd a few extra pennies for them - very profitable for the company.
The food add on seems like something hard to sell to folks who have not experienced the product yet. I know I wouldn't like it as an option for our new stadium year 1. Maybe after I see the offerings and prices, see how my gameday is going to flow, then I'd consider it. But prepaying $300+ for unknown food and drink options? Yipes.
I take a back seat to no one in my abhorrance of the food at MAPFRE. Even in the Upper 90 which everyone assures me is first rate, I find it bland, dry, badly made and basically inedible. And the Little League baseball caliber sewage they peddle at the second deck food stands isn't even worth discussing. Horrible. And Papa Johns pizza? Really? My dogs would turn up their noses at that garbage. Maybe its just me but I have been assuming all along that there is going to be a dramatic upgrade in the caliber of the fare when the new place is opened. The food at Cleveland Browns games is really first class - far, far from cheap of course but its what people demand these days and are willing to pay for everyplace else - and I am confident that Dee Haslam knows the difference.
Sure. Sure. But, and it's a small point, we're talking about for Fratass' stadium. With regards to our future home, I too expect upgraded options, but I'm still not choosing them blind. And I don't know what it gets me buying up front-- aside from opening up seating options that were being held ransom for guaranteed concessions.
That Papa John's crap? The players used to get it after games. You'd think they'd be eating something a little, oh, higher quality?
Maybe. It's become my immediate reaction to idiot trolls though. Consider this: 1. Dark Knight is ultimately the mod that smacked him down with the IP related evidence last time 2. Dark Knight posts in here (which is unusual) 3. Someone with the name that I honestly can't remember, but it was a troll of Dark Knight's handle 4. Making what I am assuming is a caricature of what they think Dark Knight acts like. He's just dumb/stubborn/immature/bored (pick one) enough to do it too.
I still Hate Precourt. How do you all think Austin Broccoli's will do in this World Cup Style tournament?
Who will they send out there? Two Buttons? Mr Alright, alright, alright? Maybe a few of the cowardly losers who slicked off to Austin? How about Fatass McDoucheface himself? Love to see him on the wrong end of a Vito Wormgoor studs up tackle. Here's a link to much frivolity: https://www.austinfc.com/ They're still soliciting deposits, its still one deposit for 8 seats and best of all its fully refundable if you change your mind. 50 lousy bucks and even thats refundable. Its not a "deposit", its a bookmark. And keep scrolling for the multi paragraph bio of Fatboy. Its not to be missed. The man is a God, apparently.
Wait, they are still taking deposits? I thought they had sold a record bazillion seats the first day they went on sale?
You would think with all the amazing success under FratAss there would be no desire to move the club. Interesting.
Yeah, who knew the club's heights reached under Precourt included MLS cup 2008? And apparently our supporters shields and USOC too.
Over under on how long before the others owners force McGiantcranium out? I'm going with 3 yrs. He'll take some cash and they will get stuck with stadium debt.
I still hate Precourt with all my being but these last few months of no Crew have put things in perspective. We are soooooo much better off with the Haslams and Dr Pete. It’s night and day. Not even close. Adios J Anthony. Good luck with your low self esteem. Here’s to you losing a lot of games and eventually rotting in hell.
So, in reading the other bios on that site; the one good thing for Austin right now it they have partnered with several Texas Energy Tycoons. When Precum makes his grandiose exit, I think they will be in a really good ownership place. And I won't hate them nearly as much. I've only been there once, but it seems like a really nice town, and mirrors Columbus in a lot of ways that I like.
