Hey, Im an American City fan. Im actually looking for a place to study in the UK, specifically in Manchester. I have looked at the University of Manchester, but Im wondering if anyone else can recommend any Universities in Manchester that I should check out? I will probably be majoring in journalism or some form of social work. Also, should this pan out, I should like the names of a few good pubs I can check out where City fans congregate, and perhaps meet a few of you. Manchester has 4 Universities. The University of Manchester, Manchester Metroplitan University (ex-polytechnic), UMIST (which is science) and then Salford University (OK Salford is a separate city, but no one notices anymore). Al very good universities, so I am lead to believe. Liverpool is not too bad either, and only 40 minutes away with National Express coaches. Leeds is also very good, and no great distance. Don't worry about decent boozers, just get your studies sorted out and then you can ask more later. From a Manc abroad.
