uh... those individual awards are only props right? Players will actually be given golden boot, golden ball and golden glove instead of... wooden shells?
Last season the awards looked different(and the award winners looked happier than this year). Congratulations to our individual award winners at OFC Women's Champions League 2023🏆 Golden Ball - Edsy Matao (AS Academy Féminine)⚽ Golden Boot - Marie Kaipu (Hekari United)🧤 Golden Glove - Sylvester Maenu'u (Koloale FC)#OWCL2023 pic.twitter.com/N1D8Jc9nXm— Oceania Football Confederation (@OFCfootball) June 10, 2023 Do you like the awards for Men's Champions League 2023? From left to right: Golden Boot, Golden Glove, Golden Ball
well... at least men's competition winners look more happy... Don't get my wrong I have nothing against good craftsmanship rooted in local culture - those wood (or stone?) awards are aesthetically pleasing (funny enough women's awards are basin shaped vessels while men's resemble phallic shape) but as for football competition awards those sculptures look to me a bit silly... Don't take me too seriously.... it's probably my classicist taste bubbling up before afternoon tea.

What a surprise, a New Zealand's club in the final. At least they only won by 2-1 vs Hekari Women at group stage, maybe we have some sort of a game in our hands in the final.
