Of what use is goal line technology, in all seriousness?

    No the system worked, it alerted the referee, through the watch, that the all had crossed the line. And the TV coverage where I am got shown the GLT graphics for the hit on the post and then for the deflection off the keeper as one continuous graphics. The problem seemed to be that at the stadium someone that controls the GLT graphics output only showed the first part but not the second.


    Name of the company providing it. :D Just kidding but it is based on the same idea/technology but this one of course has its own programming and such. And IIRC it uses 1 more camera per goal.

    The EPL fits their system in all the stadiums with the money taken from the collective TV deal.

    Thanks for the reply. No matter what they call it, or who's providing it, I love it. Without GLT we may not have witnessed one of the biggest upsets in the World Cup.
