I was just thinking about how great our team looks, and wondering...how many current full internationals do we have?
    Califf- USA
    Sasha- USA
    Hartman- USA
    Cobi- USA
    Vagenas- USA
    Super Simon Elliot- Kiwi
    Marshall- Jamaica
    Ruiz- Guatemala

Lalas, Hong, and Cien are retired internationals.
    Cobi might be.
    What about APC?
Is EZ still playing for St. V + G?
    Wow. We're so deep!

Now we're using "full international" to apply to the players as well as the match? Jack Edwards has ruined our soccer vocabulary. He may be gone but the aftershocks are still being felt.

Why do people get so ticked by the "full international" term? It simpy distinguishes regular national team matches from say, USA vs Derby County or USA vs. the MLS all-stars.

Or as FIFA likes to call them ... "A" matches.

C'mon. By full international, I mean a senior international player. I'm just trying to distinguish a full international (excuse me. Player.) from a player who might be a U-23, or U-21, or something like that. The point is, our squad is loaded with quality (talent), and I was just wondering if we could get a list going. I'm not trying to start some kind of elitist soccer vocabulary thread.

Gosh I think I will try to answer your question rathter than being a pedantic idiot...

To the best of my knowledge EZ is still active as the captain of SV&G.

You also understandably left out Chris Albright who actually has 7 caps and a goal to his credit.

I believe APC has retired from international play.

Your point is well taken (at least by this poster). We could field an entire team of players capped at the senior level for their national teams.

If he stays on the same development slope it is only a matter of time for Memo Gonzalez and I think we will eventually see Glinton get a shot at the national team as well.

Thanks for the reply Gooner. I'm really excited about the prospects for Memo and Glinton too. I just hope we hang on to them for a while. Especially Memo!

We have the following players with senior international caps (not necessarily active internationals):

    Kevin Hartman (USA)
    Danny Califf (USA)
Ezra Hendrickson (St. Vincent & the Grenadines)
    Hong Myung-Bo (South Korea)
    Alexi Lalas (USA)
    Tyrone Marshall (Jamaica)
    Mauricio Cienfuegos (El Salvador)
    Simon Elliott (New Zealand)
    Cobi Jones (USA)
    Alex Piñeda Chacón (Honduras)
    Peter Vagenas (USA)
    Sasha Victorine (USA)
    Carlos Ruiz (Guatemala)
    Chris Albright (USA)

(Hartman has 1 cap vs. Jamaica in 1999, Vagenas has 1 cap vs. Mexico in 2000)

We could actually use exclusively capped players in a match, using all three subs.

    This is very accurate -

but in all accuracy we have 4 " Full Internationals " on this team.

    Ezra
    Marshall
    Elliott
    Ruiz

By that meaning : those 4 are all first team call up's. None of the American Internationals would be first team call up's at this point, maybe cobi but in a reserve role.

Memo & Glinton thru there surroundings and pedigrees will be on the USA squad someday also.
