everytime Oduro breaks away and is one on one with the goalie......I always bring myself to believe he'll put it away

same as when Lucy holds the ball for Charlie Brown.....Charlie runs his little heart out and I pray and know he'll hit it this time...but alas...I am fooled.

curse me wanting to believe. :(

Get a life and stop this stupid unnecessary Oduro hating, start the season by supporting and encouraging the players and not by hating
on you own player for your personal reason.

Its not hatin, we are just stating the truth. I think us as fans deserve a little better than a mediocre player from Ghana, when we were promised a DP by the start of the season. Its frustrating knowing that your forward on the pitch has a 10% chance of kicking the ball on target. What good is supporting and encouraging him if at the end of the day hes gonna be the same unproductive player. I wish him the best this season, and hope some how he makes me eat my words.

When were we promised a DP at the beginning of the season? On the contrary, I always have heard it stated that we should expect one mid-season.

I do agree that there had to be other options better than Oduro for the same price.

I too have less than zero faith in Oduro's finishing ability. If he scores a goal, it's a fluke. However, i expect this and no longer get riled up about it. my expectations for him are so low, when he fails, i can no nothing more than shrug. I root for him because he wears orange and wish, hope, pray, believe beyond the facts, that he will be productive. I share the frustration with a player that does not improve after years in the league. But being frustrated with his sub par play means that you have expectations of him playing well. What in his whole career leads you to believe that he will perform at a productive level? Lower your expectations and except that this guy is a shankapottomus and we have to endure in spite of him.
that being said, this isn't kindergarten where everyones feelings takes priority over reality. Oduro has a huge sample size of inhaling deeply, and until that stops, criticism of his donkey like play will rightfully continue.

He's totally right. Support our players on the field. If Dom keeps putting Oduro in, it says more thing about our bench. On that note, I am more confident about our forward corps more than any other year.

Every home game and Dallas?, No way, you must be the only one in here that does that, when I grow up I want to be like you. :D

Being realistic and bashing a player are very dofferent things, as I said before, I have no problem at all pointing out and complaining about some of the less than average players we had to endure after the end of the game, during the 90 regular minutes I support the team.

Eguzki less than average? You wanna call Oduro less than average? Ngwenya must've been a superstar then. I'm not sure how the guy qualifies as a soccer player. All of our rookies have a better touch than he does.

I think though that some of the blame should be defelected towards Dom and the FO for not coming up with something better than Oduro.

I was trying to be politically correct, less than average is my code word for....., well, for something that I will not post ever about a guy wearing our orange, as I said, there are things I will not say about our players, that included Tony the Tiger, now that he is gone, I have no problem saying you could have hired a kid from the streets and getting at least the same level.

Talking about Dom, here is the thing, since year one I have seen so many things that made me go "huh?", I have questioned so many things every single year, starting 11, substitutions, formations, lack of adjusting those formations, etc, etc, etc.

The problem is that the guy won 2 championships and took the team to 4 playoff appearances in 5 seasons, and he did it with a team that on paper looked sub par.

I see Dom making the same mistakes, but hus record says that I should keep quiet, until those numbers change a lot, I will have to believe that he knows exactly what he's doing.

Those championships were the result of building league leading defense and being able to score more than the other teams. As opposed to building a good offense and hoping to outscore the other team. It looks like Dom rebuilt/is rebuilding from the back again this year. The bad part of this approach is that you run out of money and available talent by the time you get to the top and end up Oduro and crew.

Not true because we have plenty of cap room. At least we did before we signed Oduro, Taylor and Edwards.

Your logic is that the administration did not brought in a DP so it is Oduro's fault. It is really hard to reason with someone that is always looking for fault on a person, You sound very childish and you need to grow up.
Last year Oduro was tide with Brian Ching on goals and second assist leader, What did the defense do last year that you are not talking about?
and what goal did Oduro missed last year that Brian did not do worst of?
Brian Ching is still hurt what are you going to say? You cried for DP last year and you got Landin, where is he now? What was Weaver's contribution last year?
My point here is for you to be logical in your thinking, if you build yourself
with hate you will always be negative especially when you do not understand the game of FOOTBALL when you have played KICKBALL all your life.

Charlie Brown never touched the ball. Oduro is more like Scott Norwood ir Kris Brown.

When he steps on the field I'll cheer for him, but when the line up is being made I'll be extremely unhappy to see his name.

However, its not his fault that the Dynamo haven't been able to sign better players.

What did this post have to do with intelligent discussion? Absolutely nothing. :(

If the Dynamo had other players that were better Oduro wouldn't play or even be on the roster. It is pretty short sighted to say let's not play our best player because he's not good enough, let's play our second best player instead...

Based on preseason Dixon and Bruin are better. The problem is Bruin is a target forward like Ching and Weaver and it is difficult to play with two target forwards.
