Can anyone tell me what Odrzańscy means? It's supposed to be a nickname for Odra Wodzislaw but I have yet to be able to figure anything out.

    Thanks in advance.

Odra is a name of a river in Poland, so if you take the nickname in a US context. Mississippi, the nickname would be Mississippians.

Wonderful, thanks. I had a feeling it was something like that but couldn't find any real translation to confirm it.

One other question about this club. Their emblem seems to me really two emblems that were merged together at one point. I've been doing some research on the club and have found there was a merger of two clubs in the 1960s. Does this dual emblem result from that merger by any chance? Any ideas?

Actually it is the coat of arms of the city, the eagle reflecting the coat of arms of the founder of the city Prince Wladyslaw Opolski and the rose reflecting Virgin Mary being a patron of a local church? Or the Princes church?

Thanks Sopot26. I guess I could have researched that a little better as it was staring me right in the face on the town's wikipedia entry!

There is a Polish-language entry about the city's coat of arms but maybe you saw that already?

    Anyway, thanks!
