No Chance, The Democratic party will do everything in its power to prevent it. Just as the Republicans stopped Pat B. I doubt the Dems will kick out Rev. Al, though.

    I like the Rev Al.

Years ago on a Saturday morning Marine Park fields in Brooklyn had about 400 blacks takeover the ball fields. What I thought odd about it was I have never seen any of these guys before. Marine Park is a predominately white area.

The people there are not prejudiced against blacks. I don't think Rev Al knew that.

For years now and before large numbers of blacks have been playing cricket here. I talked to them all the time mostly islanders. They play criquet and barbque. The barbquing is against the law but it is no big deal.

They take their families with them to the games.

They played downtown brooklyn before they came here, and had problems with the bad elements in their own areas. So to avoid that they came here.

We live and let live over here as long as no one is looking for trouble. They are just looking to spend a trouble free day with their families playing the game they love. We had no problem with that. The few that did were told to shut up by the majority of the people in the area.

    ------------

Evidently Al thought there would be a riot over here if they took over the fields. He thought that because their was a riot at Gerristen Ave (not far away) when some blacks went their to play. That area is where the irish drunks hang out.

    ---------------

So rev al later visited Marine park that day saw no trouble, and he and the 400 unfamiliar guests just left. Then he goes to Kings Plaza to walk the mall with them. This was years ago before their was a lot of blacks going to the Plaza.

I saw him there as well that day. Alas for poor Al white people when they saw him just said hello.

So Al left. That is a true story.

    Yes, I like Rev Al.

You left out, the same chance that Cascarino's Pizzeria would make an interesting post.
You make it sound like Al's and Pat's problem is something OTHER THAN their crushing unpopularity in their respective parties. I see people post like this all of the time, as if the two parties are the Illuminati or something.

Superdave, uber-Democrat and lover of all things PC, tell us why Rev. Al's name even comes up in discussions for the next Dem. nominee? You do know about his race-baiting past and specific ACTIONS (unlike Trent Lott's words) that have separated whites & blacks in NYC. He's the most vile sort who disgraces the term "reverend" just like Jesse Jackson.

Because he's talking about running. I don't see how this is substantially different from David Duke's flirtation with running for president. '92 I believe.

Well, there's one big difference. Al Sharpton jokes are better than David Duke jokes. I mean, the hair alone!!!

If you want good jokes about perennial marginal Reep Presidential candidates, just watch 700 Club a few times and get a load of Pat Robertson. That should keep you in jokes for a few months.

You mean perennial Dumocrat candidates like the "Rev." Jesse Jackson? Where are all the "Run, Jesse, Run" bumper stickers this year? Oh right, he's too busy shaking down corporations for supposed discrimination. He did teach Slick Willie a thing or two about adultery, though.

Speaking of shaking (tectonic plates) how come Senator-for-life Ted Kennedy isn't making one more run?

And of course, no Republican would ever dream of committing adultery. Right, Newt?

Sharpton has never won a primary, and never will win a primary. But I still think he'd be a better choice than the incompetent Ford Administration retreads currently running the country straight into the sewer. Maybe if Dubya got a BJ, he'd be a better president, ever think of that?

Don't mind him Dan. He seemed baffled in a lost thread by my assertion that William Safire was conservative.

I think Henry Hyde taught them both everything they know on that topic.

At least they didn't take Dan "Clinton Is Scum" Burton's class on Fathering Children Out Of Wedlock. Yeah now there's some family values, huh?

    Central Park South,
Bush's popularity is very high. The extreme left like Sharpton and Looney may not think he's doing well but most other people do.

The Democrats will never allow a black American to win their nomination. As I said before, the party is not interested in allowing blacks off the plantation. They take the black vote for granted, exploit the issue of race for political gain, and then nominate white liberals without fail. The sooner black Americans realize this the better off the future will be for them. The first American black president will be a conservative Republican, without question. The first black on a major party national ticket will be a Republican, without question.

Safire is barely a conservative. He may look conservative to your liberal eyes when compared to Moron Dowd or Paul Krugman. I'm sure you read the NY Slimes because you can flip through page after page and say - "Look! They think EXACTLY the way I do about SO MANY current topics. It feels wonderful to be validated!" Mindless twit that you are.

Not unlike what many Catholic men, worldwide, have done to the term "preist" eh?

Sharpton only remains relevant to two types of people : the media O'Reilly's of the world, and Pizzeria owners with nothing better to do between heating pies than stew in their own juices about silliness like this.

Is there any chance of Rev. Al bringing back the track suits and the rope chain? Clearly the path to the nomination.

BTW, he's scaring the Dems so much they burned his office down. Well, them or the trilateral commission.
