Got a little invite in the mail for ther Seaon Ticket Holder Post-Season Party on Thursday October 10 from 6:30 to 8 pm at the Radnor Hotel.... I assume the rest of will be getting their invites soon. Mandy Clemens was my invitee. Nice comments in the invite. And yes, Mandy, you guys did your part to make this season exciting.
mine came from zhou i think, i cant read it, its in chinese! LOL LOL j/k that would be funny though, or from pichon in french or kelly in cockney as useual mine is late because it has to travel through hamleton, Anthrax capital of the world.
g4m, name was typed below the signature.......zhao is in China, I think Pichon came back here for a while, but probably went back to France to train... I'll trade my Mandy for your Marienette though... signature that is.....
hey, g4m, the joke might be in your personal forum??? but this zhao autographs might get some big takers on the Shanghai autograph market also note there's a PS at the end to contact the Charge if you have any questions during the offseason, Oliver stuff has spread and they want to set things straight, unlike Oliver
i got mine... we just got ours today too. mandy, like almost everyone else here, was our invitee. its cool how she signed it herself ~Kara
It seems that Mandy was busy... Class as always... As an aside... Since the team decided not to have a reception before the Founders Cup, should Dwight and I have the banner that we made for the Founders Cup signed (as yet unsigned)? Should we have the ball that we originally bought for Charge signatures signed (which has since been signed by the league players who were available at the pre-Cup Festival that were easily available)? You make the call. Please? Sorry for the format, but most of the sports news that I'm hearing these days tell of teams that are either out of it already, or too early in their seasons to hope for. Scott...
Yes she is. Even if she didn't write the actual note, it was terrific of her to sign 'em all. They did have a good season, even if it ended in a way we hoped it wouldn't. Speaking of sports news, that was classic today in the Daily News by Robert Earl Clarke, wasn't it? The guy who spent $10m on Chris Gratton, the Von Hayes of the NHL, has exactly one Finals appearance in his entire tenure to show for it and he's ticked off at the media to the point he tries to get the Inquirer's Flyers beat writer fired because he wrote the truth about what was going on...they will never win a Stanley Cup with him as their GM. And it wasn't the media who signed Billy Tibbetts, either... Scoreboard, Clarkie. Paul
Please help a directions-challenged oldster/fan. Regarding the invitation to the party for season ticket holders: Coming off City Line Avenue onto Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue), is the Radnor Hotel before or after Villanova Stadium? Right side or left side, parking, etc.? Thanks.
If Ailing and Lihong are home and staying there, and if you don't mind not getting the whole team's signatures on the banner, feel free to bring it. Maybe we on B.S. can chip in and present the team with a gift of our own for the reception. And who else on here's going to it? I'll be coming from work, and be off the following day (taking advantage of a long weekend, since our place has Columbus Day off).
Paul the Asian Games are in Busan from Sep. 29 to Oct. 14, 2002... Zhao will be there, and Liu is retired. Best gift to get the team is buy MORE season tickets and BUY more of their merchandise.
Didn't know about the Asian Games.... At least I said my goodbyes to Liu and Zhao, then and wished them well. Is the league going to be informed by the Chinese about the nationals possibly staying home next year one way or the other soon? That way teams with key Chinese internationals can plan accordingly to have an extra spot open (and it should count as another foreign allocation...) Paul
cachundo has mentioned a waiver draft happening before the end of this year?? I would assume the status of the Chinese will be known by then. And I would assume the Chinese already know what they will be doing, but I don't believe coaches in WUSA know for sure, although they may. If the Chinese are withdrawn, then this opens up a major slugfest for 6 or 8 Euro based newbies. If Zhao is not available, then the draft picks 6 and 7 become more vital.
