I think that's about all the club has been lacking. The talent is there to be competitive. The attitude has not been. The really good news is that is something that can be changed almost immediately.

Practice was much better and organized today. Kries actually did drills with things that the team needs to work on.

    4-4-2

I see Talley playing as a withdrawn midfield and Ballouchy playing in the middle. So more like a 4-1-3-2 with Attiba up top on a short leash.

Pope will be captain or Talley. If it is Talley, I am sure it will make Pope mad.

Was Pope mad that Talley usually became captain when Kreis subbed out? Best player isn't always the captain...

There is still one problem with that line up. Stewart is still starting on the right side.

I'm expecting to see something like this:

    -------------Seitz-------------
    -Lancos-Pope-Torres-Forko-
    -------------Talley------------
    ---Klein--------------Adu-----
    ----------Ballouchy-----------
    --Cunnigham---Harris-------

Not a bad lineup, IMO. I feel a Tejada for Harris sub would be great. Stewart could come in as well. As for a midfield sub, possibly Cutler for Talley or C. Brown for Klein. Neither are horrible, even though I hate Cutler with a passion (get a haircut!)

After reading the practice report on ayl today, I'm thinking that we will be ready for NYRB this weekend. 2-1 RSL (I hope).

It was in the Tribune that Pope will be captain.

    Adu feeling a little sad:

"Kreis will have to win over part of the locker room that came to play for Ellinger, including Freddy Adu, whose lone comment was, "This has been a rough time for me."

    Boo hoo!

Why doesn't he strap it on like Tevez is doing this morning against Bolton?

This was my worry. Some of these players might not be willing to play for Kreis. Or at least not give their full effort. It will be interesting that if some players dont show up, if he will sit them?

If the players won't play, benching them is the proper thing to do regardless of who the coach is.

I don't know if there'll be any player disgruntlement except for Freddy. Unless Kreis is dumb enough to give Brown a starting position, I'm not sure how many viable changes he can even make given the current roster.

I was worried about Freddy and the coaching change too. Then I came to the conclusion that if he isn't enough of a professional to give maximum effort BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT HIS JOB IS, then good riddance.

BTW - I have a couple of extra tickets for the game tonight......

I was jsut checking out the Game Guide, and we have an interesting lineup posted there.

    --------------Seitz-------------
    -Stewart-Pope-Torres-Forko-
    -------------Talley-------------
    ---Klein--------------Lancos---
    -----------Ballouchy-----------
    --Cunningham-----Adu--------

I actually think this one might work. I'm a little worried about the Stewart thing, but I'll bet Adu will feel more comfortable up top than at the left wing. I haven't been able to see Lancos on the left side yet, but he has played well everywhere else we've seen him. Other than those tiny concerns, I like it.:D

does anyone know if this game is going to be on FSN Rocky Mountain? it doesn't say it will be on the guide, but i thought they were going to show all the games this year. It wouldn't be the first time my guide has been wrong about programing, so i just thought i'd ask.

    thanks.

It's on HD net. So I doubt FSN would have it.

Since this game is only televised in about four houses in thhe entire country. can anyone tell me if RSL has an English language radio broadcast that can be heard over the computer?
    Thanks.

    Re: NYRB @ RSL May 5th <<Pre-Game ONLY>>

I would like to see Adu up front. I think that could help. Or maybe even Harris. But Stewart has got to go on the back. I know the personel is tough to swith around. If we are going to try something new like that, I would to have Lancos on the back instead of Stewart and maybe try Besango on the side. Or keep Adu on the side and put in Harris up top. But stewart doesnt deserve to be starting.

Jazz games are on 1320 owned and operated seperately. 700 is the official station of RSL. It will have the game. If it doesn't than nobody does.

This is the formation I see when I imagine us winning.. Not likely I know but I wish the 3-5-2 wasn't dismissed so quickly. I think the two def mid's would provide enough support for the back three..

The soccer gods, like in the Open Cup match, are looking down on us I think. The skies are now clear! My wife said to me last Monday, "I'm not coming back until Real hires a new coach...We'll be there tonight.
