Not really. No fans means it won’t matter where it’s played although their “home” matches against RB will seem like an away game.
In the short term, yeah it's fine. I just mean the whole situation of us being founded 7 years ago and making almost no progress on a permanent solution.
Yankee Stadium Parking Lot Woes Block Soccer, Cost Taxpayers Millions https://www.thecity.nyc/2020/12/7/22159981/yankee-stadium-parking-lot-woes-block-soccer-field-goal
I can't recall, was there ever a timetable where NYCFC had to be into a stadium? Or can they stay in Yankee Stadium indefinitely?
To the best of my knowledge, ther was no contractual deadline. When they were awarded a franchise, it seemed as though a stadium was likely but NYC happened. The Bronx site close to Yankee Stadium, which was 90% official before getting shutdown by the incoming De Blasio administration, still appears to be a strong possibility. Things have been quiet though.
That was the plan as of the time of announcement from what i remember. It pretty quickly fell apart due to the power of the tennis association. Then Bronx parking garages became the front-runner and although we never heard anything official, it appeared to die with De Blasio.

The seven-year loan is underwritten by Barclays, while HSBC and KKR Capital Markets are joint bookrunners to the deal. Multiple reports suggest the funding will be used for infrastructure projects, including a new stadium for NYCFC.
