NY TImes article on Brazilian immigrants

    Good read. There was a report on this on GI a couple days ago that my mom was telling me about it. I wish I could have seen it..

    It's interesting -- here you have the 'other' side of the spectrum with immigration. People that have worked hard, come from an educated middle class, have helped improved local economies and have acclimated well to US society. They have more then payed their due back to this country.

    However, the blind political atmosphere that we live in measures everyone with the same stick. Is the real issue illegal immigration? Or is the issue WHO the illegal immigrant represents and not WHAT they represent. These immigrants have become the new scapegoat of an impotent government. The easiest prey is the one who doesnt have a voice.

    All these presidential political candidates only mimic what they think the people want to hear but have no clarity, no plan, no process. It's disgusting and dissapointing.
