Hello from South Africa Barra Fanticos. Despite being on a 36 hour bender since the US victory I have been hard at work finalizing the details of the New York Road trip. SPACE IS VERY LIMITED. PEOPLE WERE TURNED AWAY FROM THE PHILLY ROAD. 1st COME 1st SERVE. Your spot is confirmed when you pay. You have heard the stories from the 1st AC road trip do not miss out. Three options for the Red Bulls match on July 10, 2010. OPTION 1 - Ticket Only Option $20 for members $22 for non-members OPTION 2 – GAME DAY BUS PLUS TICKET This package includes: 1) Round Trip Bus Transportation and Match Ticket $55 for members $60 for non-members Schedule 11:00 a.m. (PROMPT) Leave Kilroys (5250-A Port Royal Rd. Springfield Va . 22151) 11:30 a.m. (PROMPT) Arrive at New Carrolton 12:20 am Pick up at Maryland House Return Right After Match OPTION 3 – ATLANTIC CITY This package includes: 1) Round Trip Bus Transportation 2) Match Ticket and 3) One Night (double occupancy) in Atlantic City. YOU MUST BE 21. This option includes bus, hotel, and ticket. We will be staying at the Comfort Inn North of Atlantic City on Absecon Bay www.comfortinnac.com. The hotel is a couple of miles outside of the city so taxi ride back after a long night out on the town be neccessary. Because it is prime tourist season in AC the hotel rates in the city proper were more than double what they were compared to the Philly trip hence the hotel we booked. $145 for members $155 for non-members Itinerary 1. Special Note The Atlantic City Option is being done in conjunction with our brothers and sisters in the Screaming Eagles. The cooperation between the two groups allowed both groups the numbers to secure the best hotel and bus rates. The bus will be shared with the Screaming Eagles. I was thinking Manhattan, but everything seems unreasonably expensive there and a pain to get in and out of city.. I hadn't looked at Hoboken tho... might give that a shot...
juan, manhattan is not worth your $$$$$$ to go up in a hotel there. you are much better off staying somewhere in jersey and riding the train into NYC to do all the touristy stuff.
Well I'm lucky cause I'm staying at a friend's place either way. But Hoboken has about 90 bars in one square mile.
We had to cancel the AC trip. The numbers were just not there. That means that there that many fewer spots on the game day bus. Get your spot today
anybody know of any cheap flights to jersey out of atlanta on game day? if not ill just move on to the scruggs thread.
Staying in Jersey is cheaper. But you're staying in Jersey. The neighborhood around the arena is particularly shitholetastic, although nearby Newark is slightly less terrible. But don't forget your shots. The stadium is a stone's throw from PATH Harrison, which is a 25 minute ride from midtown, less from downtown.
ive got a friend stayin in jersey for an AT&T training about 30 mins south on 95 from the stadium. Apparently they gave him an executive suite..so we're just gonna trek back to his hotel after game and whatever else and crash there. are there any post-game activities or watering holes planned?
Deadline to order is 11:59 p.m. on Wed. No last minute tickets or late orders. The order is being placed Thursday morning when I will be in trial and unable to handle any last minute orders. Tickets and spots on the bus are still available.
Looks like thunderstorms during pre- and game tomorrow, so bring a jacket if you're going up to Jersey! Ladies, replace the word "jacket" with "thin white t-shirt" http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/...=Saturday&MR=1
The link should have taken you to an hourly forecast for Saturday, but I clicked it and got an error - here's the main page, you can get to the hourly one easily enough http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=07029 and yes, I meant to say Saturday, not tomorrow, but hell, I'll be starting my pregaming tomorrow, to hell with the rest of you who decide to wait
RFK sits on the banks of the Mighty Anacostia and has a majestic view of our Nation's Capitol, and while yes technically we're in somebody's neighborhood chances are good you won't trip over Jimmy Hoffa's decaying corpse.
