ORL can clinch a playoff spot with a win of their own OR with either SEA or LOU winning their matches No other team can clinch or be eliminated yet
Last match of the weekend will be taking on a special aura. I am curious to see what the attendance will be. Will Morgan play the whole match?
Looks like Alex's last game is going to be covered by Prime too. During the LA v Seattle broadcast the Prime broadcasters stated they would be showing the game on Sunday.
It's going to be shown on six or seven different services - I've seen chatter that it's the first women's sports event ever to be simulcast between multiple providers.
I am starting to wonder if she leveled-up at the Olympics... And kudos to Leicy Santos scoring with her head, easily being the shortest player on the field
She will if and only if the "home' will let her stay out after curfew. But, semi seriously, I wonder if she will end as she started by setting records for number of lazy offside fouls. BTW: I am watching Gotham vs Houston and the match is pretty good but the announcers spend all their time talking about "history" or "future plans" rather than calling the match. In one segment both teams had two dangerous attacks and some really good play in the midfield but the announcers seem to have decided that the match does not matter and they jabbered on and on about signings and the future of players. In that span they said NOTHING about the match. Whoever it is with the English accent seems to REALLY like hearing her own voice. She needs to learn that if her speech does not better the silence she needs to remain silent. The match is being ruined by the lack of real commentary. Periods of silence would be most welcome. I wonder if they are watching the match they are calling. I really want to watch the NWSL but the current match commentary is driving me away. And the camera work is poor so watching with mute enabled is not a good choice. If I have a choice I will watch the Women's U20 world cup as there we at least have some commentators that know when to SHUT up. Jaber, jaber, jaber is all i hear from this NWSL match.
I didn't watch but I would guess that's Lianne Sanderson. She is without equal in sports commentary today. Absolutely the worst announcer alive across all sports.
I applaud your phrasing. i was all ready to defend my commentary when I read, "She is without equal in sports commentary today" and it was almost "whiplash of the brain" when I read the next sentence, "Absolutely the worst announcer alive across all sports." If you are going to continue to produce this kind of pointed comment please give a warning. I am a bit old and it is not good for me to have an emotional roller-coaster ride like that too often. My adrenal gland is already exhausted and further stimulus is contra indicated.
I wonder what all the broadcasters who rushed to get in on AM13's last game thought about her getting subbed out in the 13th minute... I'm also miffed that NC actually got a road win, but hard to argue when SD's normally-sound defense just lets so much through. Not a high parity week like last week, with this week seeing the top 4 all win and the bottom 4 all lose. The middle 6 are still pretty interesting, though. Looking ahead to Week 19, WAS can clinch a playoff spot without any help, while NJY and KC should be able to clinch with help. The current #9 team, LA, has a maximum possible of 42pts, with WAS currently on 41pts, KC on 38pts, and NJY on 37pts.
