I have a feeling that, since Berlusconi recently declared that he's going to sell some stakes to arab or russian investors, I think that this buyout will happen sooner than later.

The club held a poll on what fans would like in a new stadium on its official site. Hopefully that means there will be some sort of announcement this summer. Faint hope, but hope nonetheless.

86.9% of fans would like to see the Stadio Franchi turned into an English-style stadium with no barriers and first-row seats level with the pitch. That's the main result of the "Che Franchi vuoi?" (What Franchi do you want?) poll carried out between 18 and 24 April 2013.

2410 people expressed their preferences via ACF Fiorentina's official Facebook page, the La Nazione and Corriere dello Sport – Stadio websites, coupons printed in Nazione, Stadio and Corriere Fiorentino newspapers and collected at Fiorentina Point, and phone calls, emails and texts messages sent to Radio Blu.

Here are the full results to the three questions asked in the poll:

Question 1 - If the barriers were taken down, would you prefer the first row of seats to be...

My guess is that they want the tifosi much closer to the pitch like they are in English stadia. That's the complaint I hear most often.

yea i want them to allow that shit too, long flag polesbase, ball bats, batons etc................lol just kidding

but the figc need to realise one thing, serie A wasnt huge around the world just because it had all the stars but it was the ultras (not the few idiots) that really captured peoples imagination, the flairs, smoke canisters, huge flags etc, we rarely see that now, our football is the same as any other now

Seems like a waste of money. It would benefit from modern stadium attributes like a team store and some places to eat. Also, a big screen for replays would put it into the latter half of the 20th century as well
