Trusty is well enough today to make the bench. Celtic (1st) hosting Hearts (6th). CCV starts, again next to Nawrocki.

 

Trusty continues on the bench, Celtic visiting St Johnstone in a Scottish Cup semifinal match, the winner to play Dante Polvara’s Aberdeen in the final.

Scales preferred today, other matches Nawrocki has. @m vann What’s up with that? Lingering Trusty injury?

The league matches don’t matter that much, I realize, Celtic with. 15-point lead, but the Cup matches do.

 

Scales shat the bed against Rangers and rightly lost his place but Nawrocki has shown that if he's the answer, then it was a bloody stupid question.

With the title wrapped up, ordinary Cup tie rotation was a factor in Scales starting ahead of Trusty but keeping him match fit for the Cup final would have been another. Otherwise an injured Auston would mean CCV and Nawrocki at the heart of the defence. Aberdeen would fancy their chances of an upset.

 

Trusty returns to the starting lineup today, in place of Carter-Vickers. Solid team performance as they beat Hibs 3-1; Trusty seems to have played well.
