If you folks would be so kind as to indulge me for a moment, I'm trying to get word out about an upcoming charity event in Vancouver. To whit...

Improv Asylum's "Lace 'Em Up & Laugh Tour" is about to hit Vancouver, British Columbia and that can only mean one thing: The Improv Centre on Granville Island is about to get BOSTON STRONG!

A group of past and present mainstage cast-members from Boston's Improv Asylum comedy theater will be running this weekend's 2013 BMO Vancouver Half-Marathon to benefit The One Fund Boston, a charitable organization launched by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino to raise money for those families most affected by the tragic events that unfolded during the 2013 Boston Marathon.

However, that's just part of what Improv Asylum has in store for Vancouver.

At 7:30 PM on Tuesday, May 7th, the IA performers will be joining their friends and colleagues from the Vancouver TheatreSports League for "Vancouver ♥ Boston", a special one-night-only fundraising event at The Improv Centre on Granville Island. All proceeds from this evening of hilarious improv comedy will be donated to The One Fund Boston. Tickets are just $10 and can be purchased through the link below.

So, if you live in Vancouver, or plan to be visiting the area on Tuesday, May 7th, clink on the link below and order your tickets for what promises to be an unforgettable night of comedy and compassion! Or, if you know someone who'll be in Vancouver next Tuesday night, tell them that they should join in the fun to benefit a worthy cause.

Remember, every dollar raised at Tuesday night's performance will honor those who gave their lives, support those who were grievously injured, and thank those who responded without hesitation on Monday, April 15, 2013. So, please, spread the word... because we want to pack the house!!!

    Thanks for your support!
