I made a comment on Jovetic's Facebook page.

He's deleted dozens of Twitter and Facebook comments I've made. It's still there at the moment, though.

“Ma va' a mori' ammazzato” in English the expression 'morire ammazzato' has a very strong figurative meaning and especially for Romans who, as an example, while driving through traffic get road rage and shout out to other drivers: "Ma va' a morì ammazzato' or rather, "I hope you get killed'. This expression, therefore, is very strong and conveys something more than the simple idea of 'getting killed' or a strong nuanced meaning.

The literal translation is "dying killed" or I hope you die by getting killed. A lot of people use the term pretty liberally though and don't really mean that they would actually want that person to die necessarily. Its kind of like "-'F'- off" or "go 'F' yourself"!

Now that's an Italianism if there's ever been one.

When I go to a Chinese restaurant the employees speak to each other in Chinese. When I go to a shawarma shop they speak to each other in Arabic. But I can't ever remember going to a pizza parlor and hearing the workers speak Italian!

Where do you live? It definitely happens here.

Cooks in Italian restaurants, with large employee pools, tend to be more Hispanics but in smaller pizzerie you hear it all the time.

The ones in tourist areas hire dagos to make their place seem more authentic since they are trying to pass barilla pasta as homemade...

I'm originally from the Detroit area. Now I live in Canada half way between Detroit and Toronto. The people who run the pizza parlor I usually go to are Middle Eastern.
