I had talked to some other Mystics, and there seemed to be some interest in a group outting to the Royal's game vs. St. Louis. I plan on going to the Friday night game, the Saturday game conflicts with the Wizards away game viewing (although the Royals start at 6pm and the Wiz kick off at 9, when was the last time a Baseball game only took 2:30-3 hours?) and I am working during the Sunday afternoon game. What's say we get some guys together and head out to the K?
Ok, this is in a few days. I am taking two people with me, Spoon is interested, Sam seemed up for it. McGinty could be convinced he needs to go. This should be a good game. Dave, what about you? Friday, 27 June, 2003. Cards vs. Royals. Royals took the series at busch 2-1 (bastards) and the offensive prowess of the Red Team looks to try and get some revenge. Pujols comes back home. I'm liking this. Hy-Vee tickets are only $5, so there's not a lot of reason not to go (unless you are one of those baseball haters) Oh yeah, I'm taking a half day at work (I had to put in a 12 hour shift earlier in the week) so I'm kicking off the day at the Pink Flamingo for their lunch buffet. Anyone is welcomed to join me in an afternoon of tits, beer and homemade fired chicken before the game.
Hows this for a baseball outing.... I got tickets to the Cards game Thursday night against Cincy in one of the luxury suits. The company that provides our bottles for detergent is taking a few of us to the game. Should be fun.
Ben for the love of god don't go! Remember the scorline last time you went to a Card-Reds game? Dammit, you're the Steve DuBois of the Cardinals!
I bought tickets I purchased 12 tickets for Friday night's game. Four of them are currently spoken for, including Jace plus two. If you want in, let me know...$12 (the $5 seats were not available). Preferably, let me know by calling me at 785-218-3636.
Don't you guys know that baseball is fvcking boring? What kind of supporters are you, anyway? And Jace, if you're going to watch crappy baseball games, you ought to at least support the Royals. hahaha. IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER. Signing in from seven miles from Shea Stadium, home of the craptacular, bottom of the NL East New York Mets. Cheers, Tom
I'm surprised more people aren't coming along...this should be a great game, Bo Hart and Pujols are smacking the hide off of the ball, the Royals are in first place, and we already got tickets. Come join some familar faces in a leasurily (i.e., drunkenly) night at the ballpark.
Interestingly enough, I'm going to the Durham Bulls game tomorrow night. A buddy is getting married on Saturday, and the "rehearsal dinner" is tomorrow night's ballgame.
Oh sheet, let's think about who was at that last game...I was there! Maybe I'm the steve DuBois of the Cardinals (but come to think about, Steve's jinx seems to have worn off)
Apparently the Royals fans are on "Code Blue". I guess Royals fans have to be told straight out not to wear red. http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/sports/6170565.htm
Quite frankly shouldn't Royals fans be wearing blue all the time? The only reason this is being made such a big deal is becuase last year the K looked like a Cardinal home game.
