It depends, normally you will get there and say you want to use the internet and its done you can stay as much you want but obviously if there is more ppl wanting to use it, probably you will have 1 hour period our something like that.
For u MR. Frank Cunha, i'm sure they'll make special arrangements, therefore you may use their services whenever u please
I don't think you should. What happens when the police raid in? Next thing you know; You've been the mob-boss of Portugal and been 'hiding' in Newark. You're the one to blame for apito-dourado. Play it safe!
oh, he is my all time favorite. my friend and I have memorized his dance in the DVD features of Shrek 2 (faraway idol?) We break it out in the bars for laughs. Good times!
I am leaving in a few weeks and I really am interested in listening to some Portuguese music before I leave. I am aware of fado, but I am more interested in their "pop" music. Popular artists or the American equivalent to TOP 40. Any suggestions?
Xutos & Pontapes -rock UHF -rock Roberto Leal ( ) -I don't know what he is anymore Orishas are pretty popular over there (not Portuguese; they're Cubans who immigrated to Montpellier in France) -hip hop
dont forget the midget who sings about garlic and cod, LOL to bad if you know portuguese youll get the joke when you hear the song
I hope I can still ask questions here! My family and friends are putting together a going away party for me. We have found Portuguese music, a travel DVD of Portugal to play in the background, and Portuguese food. We are struggling to find traditional Portuguese decorations, or traditional activities that occur at parties. Can anyone give me any help? I just want my friends and family to learn a little about Portugal before I leave. 2 weeks!
You'll find at least one of these roosters in every Portuguese household. On pens, napkins, plates etc. Here's the story behind this symbol: http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art13051.asp A popular custard tart is known as 'Pasteis de nata', (I love these):
Thanks for all of the suggestions! I wrote them all down! I have the drinking thing taken care of! no problem there. Very cool about the rooster. We are going to print out the picture and the story behind it. Thanks to all of you for your help in this thread! It is much appreciated.
Got to learn some of the drinking songs. Like "Ou passar o rebeirinho pos o pe molhei a mei pos o pe" etc.
Might be good to have some "Chourico" which is cooked over an open flame... Superbock or Sagres should be your beer of choice. (if that's your thing) And no Party would be complete (especially if it is a BBQ) without "Sardinhas" cooked on the grill...you could also try "Bifanas de Porco".. If you do a "google" on most of these you will find recipes...
