It’s too bad the quarter million sentient human beings who’ve died from this virus weren’t embryos—“pro-life” Republicans would actually care about them.— John Pavlovitz (@johnpavlovitz) November 22, 2020

atleast the vaccine was made in a lab by scientists, y’all were made in a Toyota Corolla by trump voters and climate change deniers— prance (@bocxtop) December 18, 2020
trump and his family stole from a charity and can’t be part of one any more Probably main reason he don’t want to lose the presidency... his kids should be in jail. So it happens everywhere
Name the big corruption scandal in the US between 1990 to 2016. Trump is corrupt, but that doesn't mean that corruption was/is entrenched in government in the way it is in Colombia
#Colombia's President @IvanDuque announced a suspension of flight to and from the United Kingdom, which has seen a surge in coronavirus infections of what is feared to be a mutation. https://t.co/lRun5f6dHn— Colombia Reports (@colombiareports) December 21, 2020
Reading this week so many articles about how emerging markets with weaker economies are last in line for Covid vaccination. Such a sad commentary about our society that will create an even larger disparity between the have and have nots. Countries like Colombia will be last in line with mass vaccination mostly not happening until 2022 Q1. Sounds like lots more pain ahead.
The World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed that #Colombia can begin a COVID vaccination program in February as coronavirus infections reached a record high. https://t.co/HKcgZD68mV— Colombia Reports (@colombiareports) December 19, 2020
"How long the government would need to effectively finish the unprecedented vaccination program is also uncertain." Considering the massive coordination and logistics required to store, transport and double dose for most vaccines, it's going to be a hell of a challenge to get this done in Colombia in a reasonable time.
Will you guys get vaccinated? Im defiantly not A antivaxer but this one has been pushed so fast I don’t know if I want to take it or let my family take it tho probably will be required for school. My kids are too young to go anyway.
how this is even a question goes to show you how politics has won and science has lost. Hell yeah, I'll take it when it's my turn in line.
My wife will probably get hers early next year. To our advantage she has seen how her colleagues have reacted to it, and for the most part, the side effects are very mild. The rest if us will have to wait a little bit longer.
Yes and science hasn’t had the time to show us the side effects! they are like if you have allergies probably don’t take it. What type of allergies? I don’t know man I think shit won’t be the same. This mask thing isn’t going to go away in a year even with a vaccine
Well, definitely, things will never be the same for anyone that's lived thru this year. But the approval pipeline for any vaccination, drug, etc., has to go thru numerous, tedious amounts of sampling data, trials, which include side effects, prior to consumer approval. The vaccine wasn't rushed as much as it was a complete world-wide collaborative from both private and public intelligence using old, new and existing data, research and lots and lots and lots of money, all focused on the same goal. Remember, the Coronovirus strain was identified quickly, it's not like a sci-fi World War Z flick. It's a once in a lifetime black swan health emergency that required all hands on deck, to come up with the science and tech to stop a lethal spread that will allow the world to get back to normalcy. Obviously, there are plenty that will (and already have) benefit financially due to the vaccine, so it's not a relief created solely from the goodness of their heart. There's lots of green to be had. I would venture to say that if we used the same effort to cure lets' say cancer, we could do so. This is not to say that every/any drug approved by the FDA is 100% clear and free of any issues and/or side effects (hence the ridiculous pharma commercials denoting all possible side-affects when you use said drug). Anyhow, you have to do what's right for you and your family but ultimately there are greater consequences to all, including those that are the most susceptible, if we don't do the right thing and take the vaccine. I think by the time it's available for the masses, we would have gathered a tremendous amount more info that should make you feel better about ur decision.

Tomorrow, America will have lost 400,000 citizens to COVID. The only things Trump had to do, the key to pandemic management: clear constant messaging, persuading people to use mitigation techniques, prepare for distribution of vaccines. He did none of them. #WorstPresidentEver— Kurt Eichenwald (@kurteichenwald) January 14, 2021
