I need to get my scarf I order at the begining of the season. I have tired various times to contact, but no luck. I would like to go on record as saying that your service is awful when comes to buying a scarf. My opinion and I am intitled to it.
Bigsoccer is NOT the BarnBurners website although there are some on here. Go join the chicago fire lsit on yahoogroups and send a message there. I'd guess you'd get a response. If you already done that, do it again. PS Bopper78 I emailed you prviately.
Do the BarnBurners still exist (as an organization) or have they faded into oblivion? They used to have a web-site, but that went dormant shortly after the start of the season. They used to organize road-trips, but it seems like the only ones who care to do that any more are the Ultras. They used to have neat scarves - but about the only guy who cared to provide them to people was Paul something-or-other and he's seemed to have disappeared. Maybe they were just a figment of our imagination. R.I.P.
Paul was at the game Saturday, but it has been a while since I last saw him prior to that. The organizational part of BB has been iffy this year, but then, there have been extenuating circumstances this year (Korea, Moves for some people etc etc). Point is, I wouldn't jump to conclusions about the BBs being dead based on this year. There are supporters groups in MLS that came much closer to death that are still around.
NO! The Barn Burners 1871 are NOT dead. It has just been hard this year since we are not tailgating this year. The core group is working on a plan for next year that may involve a buy one get one free membership, i.e. if you are a member this year then you are automatically a full member for the 2003 season. This is just a teaser and there are no official details as of yet. Look for us to be back in FULL beer-fueled force in the parking lot of Soldier Field during the 2004 season. Cheers! Kirsten Secretary BB1871
Why not ask peter wilt if you can set up a table in the open area east of the permanent stands before the games to sign up new people.
Ah, so it was the beer, being supported, not the club. "I see" said the blind man as he pulled down his pants and began urinating into the wind, "it's all coming back to me."
I believe, based on earlier discussions with PW, that we can. The open question is whether or not there's enough upside to being a dues-paying member while we're in Naperville to make any kind of "membership drive" worthwhile. As for the original poster, I'll make sure the situation with the scarf gets looked at, if it hasn't already. Later, COZ
If you've waited that long it not just an opinion, it is a fact. Our service is awful. I don't know who you tried to contact, but I am in charge of scarves and this is the first I've heard of your order. Please give me all your details (don@barnburners.com). I'll get your order out immediately. Maximum Respect, Don Crafts Chicago, USA Faster, harder & louder. Since 1965.
Re: Re: (NSR) Barnburners Thanks for the honesty Don Craft, I realize you fellas work hard to make the Fire feel at home. I'm just a little angry that the season is almost over and I had ordered my scraf just before the Columbus trip. No worries though, I will send you my information.
Lmao!! I dont remember. Maybe if someone had a picture of a scarf from that year it might trigger some memory flash back or whatnot. I had a couple of fire scarfs at some point.
