    04/10/03 - Celebrity Bartending
The Kells, 161 Brighton Ave., Brighton, MA
    9 PM to 11 PM

Join the Breakers players at The Kells in Brighton on Thursday, April 10th. The women will be celebrity bartenders, working with The Kells staff to serve drinks and food. They’ll also be asking customers to leave generous tips, all of which will go to Special Olympics Massachusetts, the official charity of the Boston Breakers. The Kells will match those tips dollar-for-dollar, up to $1000!

In addition to serving as celebrity bartenders, the players will mix with crowd, sign autographs, pose for pictures, and give away great prizes, including tickets for the home opener.

    ------------------------------------------

Will they bring back Allie Kemp just for this event? ;)

Nah, they're all underage in the Breakers forum. ;)

And more than a few Rev fans have been seen at the Breakers matches. I think that we all support good soccer and good causes regardless of sex or league.

It's all good as long as the rest of you keep in mind that I've got first shot with Devvyn Hawkins. :)

Mr. Marshall's quality as a Web journalist is eclipsed only by his delusion regarding Miss Hawkins. :)

Breakers, good soccer ? I mean I get bored watching women's soccer and then we have perhaps the worst women's pro-team in the country just to add to the tedium. I think it's great that girls can play organized soccer, but I think there is a reason why most men don't watch. I have watched paint dry quicker.

If I was a troll - my post would have been posted to the Breakers board.

But as this is the REVS forum I feel that my opinion, however shocking it must sound to some of you, is as valid and anyone else's. As a professional sport, I THINK Women's soccer sucks. Now go back to the Breaker's board and chat amongst yourselves. Now if we are talking about chatting up women in bars, which is what some of you seem to be talking about, then perhaps you are also on the wrong board ?

I can't wait to see his tone when he gets a few more posts under his belt... like 10 or so...

BTW, I doubt if you shocked too many people by not liking women's soccer.

Allie Kemp was put on waivers. Is it too late for me to put in a claim?

I have to say... Revs related or not (and it's obviously not)... I've really enjoyed reading the thread. I'm glad we're not taking ourselves too seriously.

...oh, and put me in line for Ms. Hawkins.

Back off, buddy. Even though I've never met her, Devvyn and I have something special that will last the test of time. And no, I'm not talking about a Restraining Order.

    (In Diamond Joe Quimby voice:)
I'd just like to clarify my point regarding the Devvyn Hawkins-Mike Marshall comments of last week. Mr. Marshall is not deluded in his appreciation for Ms. Hawkins' talents, but in his beliefs that he would have the "first shot" to, ah, procure said talents. Ms. Hawkins is a fine American, and I wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors.

Ah, I see. You have to spell things out more clearly, Tim. Some of us aren't the sharpest crayons in the box, if you know what I mean. Besides, I was on an Oreo cookie buzz at the time I responded to your post.

...at least that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Oh, no... it's far too late to start sucking up to her now.

Jena Kleugel is my new favorite Breaker :)...

... and Jon, she even likes BBQ according to her web journal through the Breakers site.
