It's April Fools Day here in Cleveland as the Crunch are just about to enter the playoffs against Buffalo.
This appears to be an easy one for the Crunch against Dayton as the Dynamo are winless at Cleveland in their all time meetings so far. The Crunch in their time in the NPSL are arguably the best franchise as a whole having the best scorer in Hector Marinaro, and his other half of the "Dynamic Duo" Zoran Karic. Both of these players are ex-MISL stalwarts and they rack up points like no one else has seen. The numbers are fantasy league stuff and even more eye popping with Multi-point scoring involved. For those of you who do not know, a regular goal from inside the offense third is a 2 point goal, and a shot from outside the attacking third up just until the midfield area is a 3 point goal. Sprinkle in 1 point for a shootout or a powerplay goal and the scoring can get into the football results.

The Dynamo are already out of the playoffs here and do not have the name pedigree that the Crunch have. Take Danny Pena and is brother in goal, Carlos Pena and add Tony Bono, Dennis Brose all lead by Coach Terry Nicholl of the MISL Wichita Wings years and then compare that to the Crunch. Outside of Marinaro and Karic, they also have George Fernandez, Otto Orf in goal as well as some familiar names like Tommy Tanner and Andy Schmetzer. Luckily, ,Marinaro is out on suspension after bumping a ref the game prior.

Important to mention that this game is on ESPN 2, yes that's right, ESPN 2. After this game, there is some Karate! I know a few of us have had a good laugh or two that todays iteration of the indoor game can't get a sniff of television but yet pillow fighting and Cornhole can....

Looks like a good crowd and plenty of things to pay attention to at halftime, including a live look in at the locker room of the Crunch, something that is touted as the only professional league doing such a thing.

Can the Dynamo make a fool out of the Crunch in this one? It's action packed and pretty chippy!

    Enjoy!
