So that we may try to get the best year of collecting NPSL attendance numbers ever, put everything here if you would. I'll do my best to log and publish them. Sources are always appreciated, because sometimes they disagree. Here are the Week 1 games: Saturday, March 11 Oxnard Guerreros at Albion SC Orange County FC at FC Arizona (FCA drew 2,842 against the UPSL's Real San Jose club last week) Sunday, March 12 City of Angels FC at Riverside Coras
I had Temecula at Corinthians, not Riverside. Finished 1-1. No attendance reported for any of the three games, and I have asked. Odd that FC Arizona didn't tout its crowd this week like they did last week. My guess is it wasn't another 2800.
I would think FCAZ would have said something as they did the week prior, if they outdid the 2800+ from the RSJ game. Seems a little sparse in the only picture I have seen.
Here's what I've got for games so far: March 11 Oxnard at Albion - N/R Orange County at Arizona - N/R Temecula at Corinthians USA - 50 March 12 City of Angels FC at Riverside - N/R March 18 SoCal at City of Angels - N/R Oxnard at Arizona - 1,136 March 19 East Bay at CD Aguiluchos - N/R Temecula at Orange County - 876 Albion at Riverside - N/R March 25 City of Angels at Corinthians USA - N/R Temecula at Oxnard - 350 Riverside at SoCal - 200 CD Aguiluchos at Napa Valley - 2,291 Sonoma County at Sacramento - N/R Albion at Arizona - N/R So I have six out of 15 games so far (actually that's not that bad for the NPSL) with an average of 817. The West Coast clubs have the playground to themselves for a bit yet, so hopefully the clubs in the other parts of the country will be more forthcoming with numbers.
You can zero out any of the home city of angels games. They are playing their home games behind closed doors.
So they are poor in defense...why would they play games in an empty stadium? I can understand if nobody shows up to watch, but to "close the doors"?
Last week's games: Saturday, April 1 Orange County FC at City of Angels FC - N/R Corinthians at Albion SC - N/R Riverside at Oxnard - N/R Sacramento at Napa Valley - 1,200 [SOURCE] East Bay at Sonoma County - N/R SoCal at Temecula - 327 [SOURCE]
Considering they lost 11-1 at Oxnard last night, they should play all their games behind closed doors. Isn't COAFC the club Sting's kid started instead of going to the NASL?
I have actually been fairly successful (read: more than 50%) at getting NPSL numbers this season so far and will publish some results soon.
Kingston Stockade VS. NEWTOWN PRIDE FC Last Saturday at Dietz Stadium, we had our first preseason friendly against Newtown Pride FC out of Newtown, Connecticut. Close to 500 fans came out to see the new Stockade squad in action. And while Stockade fell, 1-0, it gave new coach David Lindholm a great opportunity to test out some new formations and positions for some of the players. It also gave both clubs a chance to raise some money for charities connected to Newtown youth that were impacted by the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012. Thanks to all who were so generous with their donations. Photographer Leanne Keator was on-hand shooting game-day photos. Check out her photos on Facebook – and if you spot anyone you know, be sure to tag them...
http://www.npsl.com/news_article/show/788773?referrer_id=1510764 Over 900 supporters turned out to Ted Hendricks Stadium in Hialeah, Florida this weekend for the first Sunshine Conference match of the 2017 NPSL season. It was Miami United FC hosting Boca Raton FC and it turned out to be a brilliant match from start to finish.
Asheville City SC @AshevilleCitySC May 7 Last night's official attendance: 2,176. AVLCity cannot thank all the fans enough for cheering the team on to a victory. What an atmosphere!
Inter Nashville FC @internashfc May 7 A great way to start our NPSL season with a 4-1 victory againt FC Carolina United. 650 fans witnessed some fantastic attacking play.
Atlanta SilverbacksVerified account @ATLSilverbacks May 7 Another big thanks to all of our loyal fans for coming out yesterday. We hope to see you again this week! #WeAreAtlanta #PoundYourChestpic.twitter.com/B67cLA1W4n
Stockade FC 1, Hartford City FC 3 Not the outcome we were hoping for, but our home opener was closer than the 3-1 final score would suggest (Hartford City's first two goals came in the first 8 minutes). Our team looked sharp and our supporters were out in force, even in the constant rain (489 fans in attendance -- thank you!). General Manager Randy Kim, wrote a great match-day recap here.
