Canterbury really dominated that second half to win the championship. When I read some of the NPC history and saw how much Aukland won, I could do without seeing those blue hoops in the final.

Any word on the relegation game between Northland and Nelson's Bay?

The first half seemed exciting, but the second half only had the tries to recommend it. The play itself wasn't as interesting.

Nelson Bays really took it to Northland in the first half and were leading 13-0 after 27 minutes. By midway through the second half Northland had clawed their way back to be 13-8 behind before running away with the game 32-13.

    Northland 32
Tries: Tim Henwood 2, Jared Going, Tim Dow, Hayden Taylor.
    Cons: Julian Huxley.
    Pen: Huxley

    Nelson Bays 13
    Try: Dillin Clark.
    Con: Aaron Kimura.
    Pens: Kimura 2.

I felt it was a decent match. The second half wasn't all that thrilling as Canterbury just pulled away and took the crowd out of the game. Never had the sense of a comeback that the Currie Cup Final had.
