There is another thread somewhere discussing that, it's probably dropped a page or two. It had a much better thread title too. I got one - I'd say it's a bit more more pink than red, but looks good next to the TV
Until we get a house with a basement (which we intend to decorate like a pub) I have promised my wife no more sports memorabilia.
Man - its a death spiral. First, no more merchandise until you get a basement. Then its no more until you get a bigger basement. Then no more until you get a mansion.
I was given to understand that "we" couldn't have a large Velodyne subwoofer while we lived in a townhouse. We bought a house in Annapolis a couple of months later. What's a little lighted DCU sign in the grand scheme of things?
It's a tiny downpayment. You can't have a real pub without a DC United neon sign. I mean really. Tell her it is "motivation"
I have one coming from a local pub that got one in. My friend who managaes the pub, got it and took it right home for me haha...ill post pics once i get it
I must have one, to go in my newly acquired townhouse basement! I've been saving up DC Merchandise including my 1997 DCU flag that flew above RFK that takes up an entire wall!
My wife made me an entire wall in the basement of my house for DC United. I have a ball signed by every player each year, bobbleheads (including the one that looks like Freddy Adu is giving me the finger), pictures with the players and my son, and the nicest gift my sister-in-law has ever given me (normally I get peanut brittle, I hate candy) it was a shadow box with a signed nick rimando glove, player cards, and the tickets from the game he wore it. She worked with his wife, it was very thoughtful and it came with her bobblehead as well. The sign looks nice, but I would rather see it in person first.
