http://www.coloradorapids.com/images/uploads/1Banner16th.jpg everyone must check this out, how did they pull this off ? Congrats to the Rapids organization ! "And speaking of Mile High Club, the team is getting the word out about the new Inter colors with banners all over the city of Denver. Check ‘em out here -- courtesy of the official Rapids website" imagine the streets of New Yoirk filled with metro banners, that would be cool
They paid to hang some banners downtown. Nice. But its not too difficult. It's covered in Advertising 101.
You would think that it is common sence marketing, but some times it's the obvious things that people forget to do. But congrats to the Rapids for doing this.
Well done to the Rapids. You know, I have yet to see Metros advertising for this coming season, except for the fact that I have to go and find it myself.
There's more photos posted here on the Rapids website: http://www.coloradorapids.com/site/goal.asp?cid=323 The cool thing is it looks like they hung them deliberately in front of the Pepsi Center (Nuggets and Avs) and although not pictured I have seen them in front of Coors Field (Rockies).
Kudos to the PR & Marketing teams for the Rapids... excellent idea... it really looks sharp... you guys should also be commended on the new colors, new uniforms, and nice site refresh... also, excellent job on the articles on the pre-season goings-on... congrats...
Great example Every other team should follow the example of a team that has packed in 60,000+ for at least one game each of the last few years. So what if the games were on July 4th? They should get mad props for marketing it so well.
Of course it is (and of course Counce is a rocket-scientist). But the Rapids marketing group has really stepped it up this spring -- witness their plans for the MLS opening week: http://www.coloradorapids.com/site/goal.asp?cid=327 If I'm going to criticize the (lack of) marketing in the past, and I have, then it's only fair to commend it now that they're raising the bar. So how's the Burn's big campaign going these days?
