Who the heck is Montero?? Juve doesn't have a striker named Carlos Montero, and Tacchinardi's name is Alessio not Elessio.

That author should check the team roster. :shaking head:

Well, at least they have to send players off the roster that got registered with UEFA for this phase of the CL. That avoids sending the entire primavera squad or something like that.

    Likely starters, per RAI:

    Chimenti
    Zenoni
    Fresi
    Iuliano
    Pessotto
    Zambrotta
    Conte
    Baiocco
    Olivera
    Salas
    Zalayeta

Glad to see Pessotto make is return. All of these players (except Olivera I'm not sure about??) have started in Serie A at one time or another. So it's not like it's a bunch of scrubs. Motivation shouldn't be a problem since many of them haven't started all season.

ah Salas i totaly forgot Juve had him. A Hatrick from the ex Lazio Star would do me fine.

Birindelli starts in place of Zenoni.

Bench: Buffon, DiVaio, Davids, Cassani, Paro, Sorrentino.

Conte comes out at 27' for Paro. I wonder if he is hurt. I also wonder if this is Paro's debut. I've never heard of him.

Sounds like this game needs a goal to be scored in the other game to inspire Dynamo.

Oh this is beautiful. Newcastle 1 nil to the good in feyernoord and Juve are holding Kiev. At half time the teams going through are Juve and the Toon

Paro is a Primavera boy; Conte has a muscle strain.
Olivera is the center of attention of the night: an attacking midfielder (19 yo),seems to have some athletic qualities too but looks like the star of a small club more than a potential Juventus cornerstone for years to come

Juve are playing very organized,Dinamo are not overwhelming them at all; Zalayeta and Salas have failed to sting the Kiev defense so far

Olivera is another Uruguayan player, right? Is this his full-time debut as well? (I'm assuming the answer was yes for Paro).

Juventus are comfortably holding control of the match now; Dinamo doesn't deserve to advance

I meant full-team debut, not full-time debut. So, I guess I meant "debut period". Meant with the senior squad vs primavera. Guess I was thinking like Jack Edwards ("full international"). bestianera and mr magoo won't get that one.

Sounds like it's all happening now. I knew a goal in the other game would inspire matters ....

yea, I thought magoo would be thrilled about what's going on here, but it looks like the other game is changing just as swiftly as this one.

I'm kinda glad too, with all the hype the Premiership is getting it's nice to see some of their teams fail.

if the Ukrainians advance, they are bound to be cannon-fodder for whomever gets them in next group stage: they look very tired,it's the end of the season for them after all.
