Last game in the league before City. This will be a very tough game away from home with a tired and injured squad. Gotta find a way to get 3 points. Hopefully we have the likes of Salah, Nunez, and Szoboszlai available.
Hopefully we get some good news on the injury front in a few hours......getting a little peeved with being kept in the dark week after week, we're back playing the big league now.....we need to take 1 or 2 risks in fear of letting the title slip away. Any dropped points between now and the end of the season could be catastrophic.
Interesting little interview I saw with Haaland before the Carabao final. When asked about who he thought would win it, he said Liverpool because they are so obviously the best team in the world at the moment. That they’re finding ways to win all the time and he has them down to win maybe all of their games. Now I’ll agree there’s a little bit of tongue in cheek here, but he was pretty genuine that he’s given waiting for Liverpool to slip up, that for City to win, they’ll have to do it themselves. And since out injury crisis has gone into overload, that’s still the case. Luton, Chelsea and Southampton, all games we could and should have lost, yet came away with 3 wins. Forest is another “should lose” or “should not win”, assuming we’re still reduced to picking our best U-11s to plug holes, but I think Forest are going to be a lot more wary of us then we are of them.
Nunez and Szboszlai trained yesterday. Endo and Robbie today. Klopp says he doesn't know who will be available for NF. "Lucho [Luis Diaz] is fine and Macca [Alexis Mac Allister] is fine. Macca was ill for one and a half days and Robbo had the same thing but hopefully that didn't spread." Klopp was asked but didn't give an update on Mo. edit: follow up question, he said Mo is not far off but not available for tomorrow.
Yeah, in both the Brentford and Luton Town games you could occasionally see Diaz grabbing his back after a big shot or quick change of direction... Looked like he'd pulled one of his lats or something else in his lower back. Good to hear he's okay.
I think the plan all along was that Salah would not be available tomorrow, except maybe on the bench. He needs to be available for the City game. The way Sboz and Nunez came down that Gangway the other day I think they are probably good to go now.
apparently that's PL. We won there in 2022 in the FA Cup. Nottingham Forest 0-1 Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp's side set up semi-final date against Man City after edging past hosts - BBC Sport
official site: Wataru Endo, Darwin Nunez and Dominik Szoboszlai are included in Liverpool’s squad for today’s fixture with Nottingham Forest.
Liverpool: Kelleher, Gomez, Van Dijk, Konate, Diaz, Mac Allister, Gakpo, Elliott, Robertson, Clark, Bradley. Subs: Adrian, Endo, Szoboszlai, Nunez, Tsimikas, McConnell, Koumas, Danns, Quansah.
so ... Kelleher, Gomez, Van Dijk, Konate, Robertson Elliott, Mac Allister, Clark Bradley, Gakpo, Diaz,
Maybe switch Bradley and Elliott though whether or not the case, they’ll be doing it during the game anyway.
Yeah , I think thats likely. I believe Bradley has often played as a midfielder and he can get up and doe that wing a bit better than Harvey I'd say.
