Well it looks like for now a couple of Forest players will be playing elsewhere this coming season:

Joe Garner loaned out to Huddersfield
Mark Byrne loaned out to Barnet
James Perch transferred to Newcastle fees were not disclosed.

Forest will play their first two games on the road.

They open up the their season against Burnley on the 7th of August then play Bradford City on the 10th in the Carling Cup.

    Come On You Reds!!

    I like the new kit.
We played ok tonight against Olympique Lyon although we lost 3-1. Smith let in 2 soft goals and we played without our central defensive partnership of Wilson and Morgan. Time for the transfer acquisition panel to get something accomplished. They've had all summer and with the exception of Pompey, we have the thinnest squad in the Championship.

I'm a bit worried now. Less than a week to go and our team still looks depressingly poor. Mid-table obscurity beckons. WEEP.

poor start to the season.....slow, edgy, nervous. not totally unexpected i have to say.

We need players in though. Bertrand looks a good left back, but we NEED 5-6 other signings to be able to repeat the progression of last year. We are very short on creativity at the moment, especially right up front. What happens if Kelvin or Wes get injured? Signings needed, although I normally prefer minimal business in the transfer market.

Playing well, need a bit more belief in players going forward that they can and will score. Too many draws

Aaron Ramsey and Marcus Tudgay in on short term loans. Good signings! Ramsey last season I would class as the best teenage player I can remember ever seeing.........until his leg snapped, so this is a fantastic signing even if he isn't going to be anywhere near 100%. Forest and Arsenal both win here.

Of course the flip is the injury to Dex. Out for a year.....big player, big part of the team, HUGE gap in the squad. Signing Tudgay is a positive move to replace him but time will tell.

The acquisition of Robbie Findlay will not help NF in this regard. Robbie will add some very nice skills to the club, but self-confidence in his strike is not one of them.

Robbie can score and has shown that. All forwards have slumps and generally over come them. I think Robbie will show well when given the chance in Nottingham.

He is! That was a phenominal game

    January! Interesting set of possibilities..........

    OUT?

Tyson? (seems more and more likely now, sadly. Although he isn't really good enough tbh)
Wilson? (I really hope not but it seems inevitable...he is a top class football player and we are a better team with him at the back)
    Garner? (Davies hates him)
McLeary? (starting to lose patience with him to be honest)

    IN:

Findlay ......a lot of talk about him on Forest forums and among fans..time will tell.
    Tudgay permanent (GOOD signing!)
Adam Hamill?????? Please! Good player for Barnsley. Or another winger with real quality.
Another centre back who is calm and good on the ball like Wilson?
ANOTHER striker? A lot of fans think we need one.
Bertrand - either loan extension or permanent. Or another left back. We struggle without him. Our full backs have become so important to our play that it's vital we don't let him get away.

Well we got Findlay, Tudgay and Konchesky! Never saw that coming! Really good signing, almost too good to be true?

    Nope!

Could do with another winger though, I expect we will still be looking for a loan signing.

Jackbastard, we have Watford tomorrow and QPR away next week! If it's gonna happen, now is the time it will happen.

We need tougher tests now. Thankfully, they are coming up quickly, QPR, Watford, Norwich away games to come. One thing that stopped us growing stronger last year was when we stopped being tested because we were wiping the floor with everyone for several months. We weren't challenged enough and so we lost a bit of 'fight'.

    Hopefully we've learnt.

Great result today with 10 men. Konch and Chambo were huge as was Gunts. 3 points at Scunny and then bring on the Welsh tax cheats at the CG. UUUUUUUUUU RRRRRRRRREDDDDDDDDDDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

    word is born yo

Raddy will be a great player for us but he has to learn to tackle! Great performance though, Mckenna is playing so well we might not miss Moussi too much.

3 points against cunthorpe isn't guaranteed, it might actually be a tougher test than today's game, real mental battle to get the right amount of energy in the players for an apparently 'easier' game

Great win Saturday vs. Cardiff and a great game of football. We need to take care of business against PNE as they are on an upswing of form under Brown.
