As much as I enjoyed that nail biting victory yesterday I have to say this game should have been resolved in 90 minutes from all the chances we had. We were so f*cking dominate. I say the only thing stopping us from silverware is finishing. We get that fixed and it's a wrap. This team is full of life, energy and talent. I haven't felt this proud in a long time.
I know a lol of people are frustrated with Gullit but I think it's too soon to give up on him. He's been showing flashes of what he can as of late. Yesterday he had a few plays where he was able to shake a few defenders and open up space for his teammates. He did a sombrerito in one play and he was able to get away from 2 defenders. Besides the 2 misses I thought he played a good game.
Good win but we suffered more than we should have Our backline left much to be desired, especially our CBs. Salcido just doesn't cut it anymore and Marin has been pretty inconsistent. Doesn't help that Marin has to work double duty because of Salcido Loved our attack though. Bueno has been starting to find his groove and Zaldivar keeps on improving Now let's win the Copa on Wednesday!
And who are we going to replace him with? I dont think anyone should get transferred out the club with Libertadores around the corner.
I'd like to see Gullit stay for a while longer. We already paid a whole lot for him and no one will come close to matching that. If/when he picks up his game again he will be a valuable asset. I think he should still get some playing time as he's not always that bad and somehow still manages to find himself in scoring situations. However, if he's playing and doing those soft kicks and not even hustling, he should be taken out ASAP like he did vs America
I wouldn't mind getting rid of Salcido As for Gullit, the guy has shown that he can step up at times. He's done better coming in as a sub than a starter
Indeed. Chivas need to part ways with Salcido and sign someone like Araujo, Jordan Silva, or Luis López. Even César Montes although he would be more expensive than them and I think he should move abroad.
That makes no sense Pulido was expensive because there were multiple sources that needed to get their share of the pie.
