McKenzie starts! as LCB in a 5-back set (5-4-1). Toulouse (5th) visiting Lille (4th), in an early test of contenders.
They are up 1-0 almost to end of reg time. Went down a man at 80 on an RC... hanging on. McK on the RCD of a 3, from the line-up on ESPN. (And no sooner do I hit send than Toulouse give up a PK. 1-1 now in Injury time.) If this holds Toulouse, lyon, monaco and Marsaille all in McDonald's (still don't know how they didn't brand it Ligue 1 Royale) top 6 - at least till Strasbourg and and Lens play their 4th league game.
(Narrator voice) It didn't. Toulouse concede again in the 98th minute for a big come-from-ahead loss to Lille. 2-1.
Yikes - I stopped checking at 90 + 8 on the match tracker... Feel like I jinxed this as the two times I checked, Lille scored a second later. Sorry Mark.
Pretty quiet in here ... McKenzie started again and went the full distance, Toulouse coming from behind twice to draw 2-2 at home v Nantes.
This one as too early for me, but Toulouse/McK with the late comeback to pip a 2-1 win. Emerson strikes at 87 and 90+6. McK goes 90 and earns a YC, Tessman off at 90+2. Lyon is 3rd, but can be jumped by Monaco and Strasbourg depending on results. Toulouse to 9 with Nice and Rennes able to jump depending.
LOL... Europe Thursday games taking their effect in front of my eyes this AM. First I watch Richards and Palace completely dominate the first half and just crumble in the 2nd... and then McKenzie and Co get sliced apart in their first half by Tessmann and Lyon only to steal one on the last play of the game. Both Palace and Lyon looked like they just couldn't play 90. Results aside... McKenzie, Richards and Tessmann all played well IMO. All three should be starting against Equador.
