Saw McKenzie had to deal a very good Greenwood. That would be a battle of USMNT vs. Jamaica in the future.

according to the google formations mark is in a back 3 left centerback opposite right winger sabbi starting for le havre yank on yank action likely
FOTMOB gave him a nice 7.8 for his part in keeping a clean sheet (2-0). I still think he is a bit short for a CB but he brings a lot of other good traits to the table. This is a huge year for him. Hoping he plays well enough to parley him into a better squad/league.

Deep in stoppage time, McKenzie does very well to flash over and block a point blank shot. However, the rebound falls to Fofana, who blasts at the middle of the net where Suazo initially looks to have made a goal line clearance but the magic watch says it was over the line. 2-1 Lyon after the Toulouse defense had been quite good (other than an own goal) - this was the first shot on target.

Most players are mediocre in the league they play in. Otherwise they're stars or at least excellent and get bought at higher levels.. Pity that hasn't happened with McKenzie . . .
20 years ago, mediocre in League One meant a specific, all caps "cap him now!" thread. Now, "mediocre" in Ligue Un means he's rather taken for granted, which is a sign of a country with no real football tradition having built a broad talent base to platform the truly excellent, no?
McKennzie went 90 in a 1-1 tie in a battle for the bottom. Toulouse manage not tolouse and to stay out of the drop zone. Tessmann's Lyon help them out by beating Le Havre who hover just below on GD.
Le Havre being the club Bradley once coached. What might have been had they been promoted to Ligue 1. Missed out on a single goal differential in the last game of the season.
Played 90 on Nov. 3. https://int.soccerway.com/matches/2024/11/03/france/ligue-1/toulouse-fc/stade-de-reims/4372828/
Yep, combined with his record with Egypt, coming that close in France got him the Swansea job and that job was a poisoned chalice he was what the English, with their famous understatement, call "brave" to take on. When he took over he was the third coach in less than 9 months at a side that was already bottom, taking over a squad short of experienced leadership, the window had already closed and the ownership wasn't united. You've got to back yourself and all that, but Le Havre would have given him a fair deal of leeway and he wouldn't have had to deal with the English Press either.
Not sure how much of a step up Ligue 1 is from the Belgian League but really solid that he's adapted well and succeeding there.
