Re: NOTE: re-sign and resign Eh hum... They are not homonyms, as the 's' in 're-sign' is a soft 'es' sound. The 's' in 'resign', b/c it comes btw 2 vowels, is pronounced as a 'z'. Carry on...
Re: NOTE: re-sign and resign Biannual means twice per year. Biennial is once every two years. Inflammable actually means "able to be inflamed." As for the last one, you're on your own.
Re: NOTE: re-sign and resign You mean "one boot and two beet". "Two beets" is something you want to be sure to stay clear of.
Re: NOTE: re-sign and resign No. "Biennial" is related to the word "perennial," which means once every year, so biennial is going to mean once every two year. "Biannual" is synonymous with semi-annual, or twice per year. The confusion seems to arise because the word "bimonthly" is frequently misused (I see it all the time in department store ads) to mean twice per month ("biweekly"* would be the proper word), instead of once every second month. *though on a soccer board "fortnightly" should suffice.
Re: NOTE: re-sign and resign No, they are completely separate words, like ensure and insure, storey and story etc etc
Re: NOTE: re-sign and resign You're kidding, yes? Your telling the truth does what? It's an incomplete sentence. You were waiting for someone to see this, right? Please.
