Holy sh**, if you want to make sure no one ever freaking comes to this particular forum again, you just pulled it off.
Well, here is a link to FIJA (Federation of International Jorkyball Associations) http://www.jorkyball.org/home/index.asp Sorry if I upset someone, but I just wanted to see threads about beach soccer, futsal and other soccer related sports (including the ones I didn't know that existed, such as jorkyball) without having to search through several sections of BS. Now, if some of you guys want to bash futsal, you have a perfect place for it, since now it's about futsal as well. Hipoteticaly, now there are higher chances that kind of threads become debates, since supposedly futsal fans (if there is any on BS ) have somewhere to look in.
I didn't object to that so much as it being moved to "other sports." If it's still in USA, that's fine.
Jorkyball? You have got to be kidding me. If 3-on-3 doesn't have a name yet, I'm all for naming it Tomaschball. FITA (Federation of International Tomaschball Associations) has a nice ring to it.
Bring it on. I'll ensure there's no parity in the league - that the team in suburban Chicago has all the best players and runs roughshod through the league. Let's see how attendance is in the rest of the league when we come to town.
"Tomaschball is clearly the future of soccer in the U.S. Americans have proven time and again that they won't support outdoor soccer. Tomaschball will give the American fan what it needs--fast-paced action, high scoring, and excitement. Plus, since rosters will be limited to five players per team, we might actually be profitable." Earl Foreman Commissioner Major Indoor Tomaschball League
I think I'd probably find other forms of soccer entertaining but am kind of glad none are that big. I can't figure out lacrosse cause of the split in formats and I think that is hindering that sports growth. Between soccer, hockey, and college football I don't have time for variant sports. I guess others don't find this as big of a problem. Do any here want to see these sports rise to or near the level of soccer? I guess it's a good way for semi-pro players to keep playing year long and avoid falling into another career but is that really necessary for players with true pro potential anymore?
